It’s really time to shut soccer down and just start playing pickle ball

The Hillsborough disaster is the most bizarre, preventable, awful sporting event tragedy I've ever heard about.
97 people were crushed to death by other humans and 766 injuries.
It was just mass overcrowding.
This sounds more like gangs went to a soccer match and then their fighting trampled innocent fans.

Firing tear gas in a crowded stadium is so massively stupid. The fighting didn't get anyone killed, the trampling of the crowd trying to escape the tear gas is what got everyone killed.

Fine. A half blind link. Whatever you want to call it, it was a lazy fricking effort by OP. Saw how I posted some of the article for y’all? Saw that? That’s proper posting etiquette. And it’s common courtesy.

it's not shocking, if you would check out these shite stadiums these teams, evene some of the top clubs play in, any kind of crowd movement turns into people being crushed.
nothing like american stadiums, where you can easily get the crowd onto the field and off of each other. there, they have steel fences, that literally lock you into your death, only hope, people fall on you, and you are able to crawl thru the bodies.

. It’s amazing just how tame and reserved our sporting crowds are compared to the rest of planet earth
I always feel better about myself in my fandom when I see videos of foreign soccer crowds. It's usually all dudes too.

some of the stadiums, it's like they cage the fans in.
lock turnstiles, close doors, and ur locked in a death cage, praying no one starts a fight or a panic.

That's where weighing 125 lbs hurts you. In trampling situations.
I was close to 300 lbs in high school, and I’ve been in concert situations where the crowd push around the pit could lift me off my feet and move me. The thought of a soccer riot almost makes me feel short of breath. Has to be a miserable experience even if you survive.

So this isn’t like the Mexican one where they were beating people to death right? Just trampling from panic?
That Mexican one earlier this year was very disturbing

Death toll now at 174 over 100 in critical condition. This event will hit 200 deaths, all over a fricking soccer match. Humanity has a long way to go.
