Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby will miss at least four weeks after he was moved to injured reserve, the team announced Wednesday.

Crosby's playing status had been in question since he sustained a lower-body injury while playing for the Canadian men's national team at the Olympics. He was injured Feb. 18 in Canada's quarterfinal win against Czechia.

There were some Stanley Cup Finals games on Versus. But that was a separate network from NBC.

I didn't realize he got hurt.
NBC was such a shitty TV partner. I'm glad they're gone.
It didn't last year after the 4 Nations Faceoff. So no. All the casuals that tuned in will suddenly not care about hockey again.
Yes. But that never mattered to me. Nor did rarely having ice to play on. Me and my cousin would play street hockey in the driveway when we were younger with minimal equipment. All we needed were sticks, a box, baseball glove, and a crushed can or tennis ball. Having a local team to cheer for, and being able to follow them on radio and TV was the key for me.

And I agree that soccer is far less entertaining.

I'm fine with it. There's plenty else to watch.
Fair enough. I need to watch the E:60 piece again. I wasn't aware he treated staff poorly too.
He shouldn’t have bullied his players. But his postgame rants were very entertaining.
Not enough room on the field or stadium to put that garbage?
I'm surprised no one mentioned this. The Kings playoff chances just took a big hit.

Kevin Fiala will miss the remainder of the NHL regular season for the Los Angeles Kings due to fractures in his left lower leg.

The 29-year-old forward was injured while playing for Team Switzerland in a 5-1 loss to Team Canada at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 on Friday.

Fiala was hit into the side boards by Canada forward Tom Wilson, who then fell on his left leg at 17:10 of the third period. Fiala, who was lying on his stomach on the ice, was able to get up onto his elbows but did not move his lower body. He was then transported to the hospital.

Fiala had 40 points (18 goals, 22 assists) in 56 games this season for the Kings, who entered the Olympic break three points behind the Anaheim Ducks for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference.

The link for the schedule on Page 1 was misleading then. It just shows the Peacock app and NBC website for a live feed. I later discovered USA is showing some replays at 8:00 or so at night since I'm at work when the games are on live.
I have wondered this too. I wouldn't think skating or curling would bring in that much money.
Sadly, the uniforms are about to get trashed up next. We just don't watch enough shitty ads over the course of 3.5 hours.

Missouri athletics announced Tuesday that they are seeking corporate naming rights for Memorial Stadium, the home field of the Missouri football team, as part of a broader strategy to strengthen the department's long-term competitiveness in the SEC and nationally.
Do you look up the scores before the tape delay broadcast? Or just watch on USA to not spoil the outcome?
You must not have been around in the '90s when the NFC kept steamrolling the AFC for much of the decade. Or several other Super Bowl blowouts since then.
I didn’t understand the 2 point conversion either. If successful, it’s still a 14 point margin. Either way, the game is over. Kick the PAT. And move on.
Do the Patriots normally play the same fog horn seemingly after every play?
