Maybe they’re expecting the stands to fill up for the main event? If not, then that was a big swing and miss in attendance projections.

I’d say that was pretty good racing in the heats. Will be interesting to see how it translates when they’ve got 24 cars packed in the feature.
If they don’t get some asses in the seats though for the feature, this is a colossal failure from an attendance standpoint.

But with the exhaust being on the side. Could you blow someone’s tire due to the heat it gives off if side by side for a certain amount of time?

The attendance projection was 50,000 to 60,000. We definitely aren’t there yet.

Making an observation on an experiment is not an obsession. I want the sport to succeed and pack all the venues… But they (nascar and supporters of this idea) made a pretty big deal about how LA is a top 5 nascar market, and their goal was to fill it up.
