his draft stock has fallen after the game last night and the big 12 championship game he won't be picked before round 3 now

Conversely if he had come back and played well last night I think he would have been a 1st or 2nd round pick based on performing well on the biggest stage

Being hurt cost him a lot of money IMO

maybe not 1st rd but 2nd rd definately. He is gonna have to be great at the combine and at his pro day.

when will you guys realize scouts don't put as much emphasis in certain games as fans do. The work outs are more important. The guys that don't like him will use it as an excuse, the rest will evaulate him based on his work outs.

i agree to a certain extent. Scouts look at the body of work. However, big games are important. Obviously, scouts wanna make sure they perform well in big games and i believe they have seen that from Colt.

Depends on the team.

The solid teams that have a system of talent evaluation do not... but there are 5-10 teams that suck regularly because they don't work like that

Hell sometimes even the system guys reach for someone they shouldn't because of their name. Maurice Clarrett and Mike Shannahan come to mind

true the Raiders are a fantastic example of wat ur talking about. God knows y Shanahan picked him.
