I actually liked DT a lot as well. He started coaching with Bonial my senior year at ASH. Very nice guy and a good coach.

2004 was the beginning of the end for ASH baseball.

Tioga won the district pretty easily that year.

Tioga has won I think the last 6 straight now.

Pineville was our biggest threat to win district when I played for ASH.

When did you play for ASH.

I played at Tioga from 02-05....

WE never had trouble with Pineville... Swept them I believe 2 of my 4 years and split the other two.

Swept ASH my junior year.

My freshman year and sophmore year ASH started Jordan Mayer all 4 games and we got beat.

My senior year we were down but still rallied late to make the playoffs.

ASH was pretty good but has dropped tremendously in coaching and talent.

Yeah that was back in the day...

Crazy how powers shift... ASH owned that district forever...

Just goes to show you how a good coach really can go a long way...

The beginning of the end was when Bonial left Greg Smith on 1B and threw Mayer against DeRidder in the 2002 State Semifinal.

There are people who didn't really like him but I thought that he was a great coach and did a good job of developing the talent that he had.

We enjoyed playing ASH because of Boniol.

To be fair, their state title year they really rode two players

One of his worst moves ever imo

I don't even think that's that bad, I mean football coaches say a lot worse. Most coaches do. What year was this?
