How is this course? I might play it this fall.

Haven't played there in about a decade but from what I remember:
- There are two tracks, the original designed by Rees Jones and don't recall off the top of my head who did the latter one (Arthur Hills?).
- Both are solid courses (slopes in mid 130's) and I would expect them to be in impeccable shape, but I don't recall either being outstanding.
- If you're in the Daytona area and have some flexibility, you may want to look into Victoria Hilsl in Deland and Walkabout in Mims (about 40 miles south on I-95). Haven't played either but have heard good things.

Yea my dad said Memphis CC is probably nicer. I think he is trying to get a tee time there as well this weekend. He is a retired Golf course superintendent and it's pretty much common courtesy to let him play if he shows them his gcsaa card. I'll mention Spring Creek to him if Memphis CC gives him any problems

I've actually never played Memphis CC. Never knew any members there to get me on it . Colonial CC is another one that's really nice. Not sure what kind of shape it's in as I haven't played it in a few years. If you're looking to play at a nice course though, IMO first choice should be Spring Creek, 2. should be Southwind, and 3. should be Mirimichi(Justin Timberlake's course). The last one is still pretty new, as he basically bought the course he grew up playing and redid it. It's been rated as one of the top 5 "green" courses in the world. Everything there is all natural, no pesticides on the grounds etc; hell even the water they use to wash the carts is recycled into some kind of system to be reused. Only drawback is that it's a bit further out of the city than the other two. IMO it's well worth the drive though...easy to say since I live just down the road from it
