95.4 - Glavine
89.7 - F. Thomas
78.4 - Biggio
———————————
68.6 - Piazza
61.3 - Jack (The Jack) Morris
58.2 - Bagwell
54.1 - Raines
42.3 - Bonds
40.7 - Clemens
36.6 - Schilling
26.3 - Mussina
25.8 - E. Martinez
24.2 - L. Smith
22.7 - Trammell
15.5 - Kent
11.9 - McGriff
10.8 - McGwire
8.2 - L. Walker
7.7 - S. Sosa
6.2 - R. Palmeiro
5.2 - Mattingly
———————————
0.5 - P. Rose (Write-In)

The gizmo only collects publicly available ballots obviously, so Biggio is right on the cusp of induction. Bags is out almost certainly this year.

Looking at the ballots released, we will definitely have three inductees, maybe 4 or 5. That'll help with the backlog a bit.

How does JK only have 15%? He's one of the most prolific offense 2B of all time.

Not saying he should get in this year, just curious. I don't think he's ever been associated with steroids and by all accounts was a good teammate.

A.) He's an a-hole (this matter to baseball writers)
B.) Played in the PED era

Absolutely loaded ballot
Complete a-hole
Couldn't play defense
Numbers inflated by era
Clearly inferior to a teammate who's not getting in the HOF right now

I think he's borderline.

Jeff Kent was never much for small talk. That’s probably why he declined to speak to Lance Berkman that day in the training room.

“Hey, J.K., how’s it going?” Berkman said as Kent walked through the door.

When Kent said nothing, Berkman repeated the greeting. He figured Kent hadn’t heard him. Kent had.

“What is it with you guys?” Kent snapped. “You think I’ve got to walk around saying hello to everyone? I see you every day.”

Bagwell will not get in, even though he should.

Can you imagine the numbers Bags would've had if he'd spent his whole career in Minute Maid?

Biggio is one of my all time favorite players. As a matter of fact, I'm looking right now at his autograph on the 3000 hit picture hanging on the wall in my office.

Bags would have been well over 500 homers if he played at minute maid all his career. People forget he did most of his damage playing half his games in the cavern that was the Astrodome. Bridge would also have at least 300 homers (finished with 291). That dude peppered the Crawford boxes.

think Biggio is the only guy in MLB history with 3000 hits, 200 HRs, and 400 steals (heard it in TV last night, would have to verify).
Rickey Henderson had 3,055 hits, 297 home runs and 1,406 stolen bases. Biggio isn't even the only guy within recent history to amass those statistics.

In your opinion would these guys have been first ballot if they played in a NY, Boston, LA type market?

If Biggio played in NYC, Mike Lupica would have written 7 books about him.

As for Bagwell, do you think of any of those obnoxious Boston writers are going to hold a grudge because the Red Sox traded him for Larry Andersen?

Piazza played in the NY market and didn't make it on his first ballot and looks to not make it on his second.

Who takes more ballots to get in: Piazza or Ivan Rodriguez? I'm actually curious about this.

Not arguing against Rickey. He defies all statistical logic in baseball history. Truly one of the GOAT. I am just repeating what I remember from TV last night. I may be missing an obscure category they mentioned.

Biggio career 20 years all with Houston:

.281 BA
.433 SL
.363 OBP
3060 hits
668 doubles
291 HR
1175 RBI
414 SB

Probably doubles, Biggio was over 600 and Henderson is at like 550 I think

Biggio was a beast when it came to dubs

Most right handed doubles of all time. His 3,000th should have been a double. fricking Willy Taveras threw him out. Former teammate! Hell on Bidge's last at bat he grounded to third and ol Chipper did his best to let CB just beat the throw.
