USC- sure, lets compare Southern California to boring arse Lincoln, Nebraska. Sounds legit.

Unless you've been, you don't realize how small Lincoln is...I almost missed it from the interstate...and then there's about 3 roads going through the entire state.

Anchorage is much larger than Lincoln.

I've always wondered how they got those quality players. It's cold and not a lot of in state talent to pick from.

Alabama- you're not seriously comparing the two are you?

It's not always about the X's and O's, it's more often about the Jimmie's and Joe's. Nebraska isn't getting anymore top notch Jimmy and Joe's. And the ones NU DOES get, can't be juiced out of their minds like they were in the 90's. NU being elite is a thing of the past, sure they'll make a run every 5-7 years or so, but the days of them being contenders year in and year out are gone.

When USC was down they had no recruiting base because schools like Nebraska cherrypicked California. When they were down Southern California was a negative because they lacked a "college atmosphere". Alabama was second fiddle in their own state and no one wanted to play in Tuscalosca. Its always hopeless doom and gloom when you aren't winning

You keep bringing up the 90s as if Nebraska wasn't a top program for the 60 years prior. You must be someone who just started watching college football 5 years ago. Elite program will always make a comeback history has proven this over and over.

Lawyers will determine that. And I don't see him getting 7.5 mil

The contract decides that...and his base pay for just the next two years alone is $6.2m. It's online, look it up.

Pelini embarrassed the University. He is a known hot head. I think he should be fired and I don't think he really gives a shite. Nebraska deserves better.

And the contract has conduct and behavior language, thus the lawyers.

Like a boss

quote:

"If they want to fire me, go ahead," Pelini told reporters after the Cornhuskers' 38-17 loss to Iowa on Friday to finish the regular season 8-4. "I believe in what I've done. I don't apologize to you. I don't apologize to anybody, myself or this staff. My record, our record since I've been here, speaks for itself. And this program is heading in a good direction.

"You choose not to think so, that's your prerogative. All I know is myself, this staff, the people who have been associated with this program since I've been here can look themselves in the mirror and feel good about what they've done."
