A team to watch down the road is the 6th graders at Holy Ghost in Hammond. They are a feeder school for St Thomas Aquinas who has won back to back state championships i think. Saw em play against St. Jude they lost by a bucket but were the better team. They have 2 really good guards that both play AAU and some nice size. I talked to the coach. One boy is Maury Drummond's grandson. He was all-century big man at LSU in the 50's. No bench, but they have some real players. They are turning some heads from what I hear. Will be interesting in a year or two cuz it is no fun going to that old gym in Hammond.

8th Grade OLOM Pounds STM again at STM Gym! 4-0 vs STM this year.

Right now you can pretty much put St. George, OLOM, St. Jude, and St. Thomas More 1-4 in any order.
After that, Sacred Heart is a clear #5.
I would currently put:
#6 - St. Alphonsus
#7 - St. Aloysius
#8 - St. Theresa
On the outside looking in are Holy Family and CHS. They are competing with St. Theresa for that final spot in the elite 8 in my opinion.

There are Clearly Three Teirs and not two.
St. George and OLOM in the Upper Teir.
STM & St. Jude in the Middle Teir, and then everyone else.
OLOM has beaten STM 4 times this year and has only lost two games all year.

by the way whoever is the guy sayin mercy has beaten stm 4 times is wrong. stm has won once and mercy twice and they play tonight again, and stms coach is one of the best coaches who has coached on many different levels.

Oh, the same coach that lost the game after it was over????? STM wins game, coach berates the Referee, the Referee calls a Technical on the Coach, after the game is over.
The opposing team comes out and ties the game with free throws, and then STM loses in overtime?

Best Coach??? That is a laugh....
Plus the team is playing with 3 boys that are 15 almost 16 years old, and should be in the 9th Grade....
