none of those teams are an NCAA shoe in at this point though.

HUH?

marquette, washington, ou, and texas are all shoeins

baylor is only marginal team and they too will still probably get in

Now post all of the losses. This list will be a lot longer.

I'm fully aware. But terrible? You mean Tennessee and Florida and SC are terrible?

The SEC is called "bad" because it's the SEC. If this was the Sunbelt or even CUSA, people would be all over it the way they were over the MVC a few years ago.

Off the top of my head, I'd say they've lost like 11 of 15.

My latest projection (near bottom of Page 30), has KSU as the last Big 12 team in. Baylor is nowhere near them or even Texas A&M, which is closer, and projected in by Pisces.

ETA: South Carolina>>>>>>>>>Baylor

Florida and SC are just mediocre teams in a shite conference imo. Tenn has talent, but hasn't lived up to its potential for some reason. I'll take USC to lose in the 1st round no matter who they play. I'm not sold on them or Florida and I don't even think UF gets in.

I don't think saying the SEC is terrible slights LSU. LSU is 13-1 in conference, that isn't just good it's domination. I just think it's hard to tell how good LSU is (they're definitely good) because they haven't had the opportunity to play better teams.

Yeah, A&M is definitely a legit bubble team who has pulled it together down the stretch ala 2003 LSU. They likley get to open the Big XII tourney with a Colorado, which will give them a much needed extra win before they run into Mizzou in the 2nd round.

Im talking about the SEC teams.

SC, FL, Tenn are all on the bubble. But just because they can't pick only 1 SEC team because its a major conf, 2 or maybe 3 of those guys slip in as late seeds.

They'll play a mid level team from another major conference or a top team from a small conference and I bet they lose. Downey = overrated imo.

This is my projection for the Gamecocks and I think this would be a helluva matchup. Too close to call.

if I am SC, I'd rather play A&M as opposed to Utah. They don't have the height to play with that 7 footer. Either matchup is likely though.

Discussion makes me happy. Conference tournaments start tomorrow. The debate will only grow.

As for Downey being overrated, I'd love to know why.
