Selig is the worst, end of story. On top of that he screwed the Astros season.

it was horrible playing the fricking Cubs in Milwaukee (would much rather player the Brewers in Chicago) but that didn't end the Cubs season.

Yes, but I was using the criteria someone else posted. And the fact the NBA is having attendence problems compared to the NHL should be disturbing. It's a bad trend.
And the NHL is gaining ground on TV, as they have carved out a niche for themselves on New Years Day with the outdoor game (btw - college football is run by morons to allow their traditional day be taken over by HOCKEY). It's still on Versus, but the local TV numbers are good. Which means NHL doesn't have casual fans, but its hardcore fans are more loyal than in almost any other sport. People don't watch "the NHL", they watch their team. That's the NHL's biggest problem right now.

NBA always has attendance problems when the economy goes sour. too many seats are bought by corporations
too many good teams in non-premier markets hurts also
