yes, when he was at vandy

in 1999he went 5.2 innings 11 hits 8 runs 6ER 2BB 6K...got the loss

then we beat him in omaha with USC

This confirms why I have little respect for Olney's opinion of baseball - he just pulls stuff out of his arse sometimes.

I think almost anybody would have Prior in their top 10 prospects ever. The guy was unreal at USC.

He was very mediocre at Vandy, though. Which makes me, as a Cubs fan, wonder if there's a connection between him suddenly having his career ruined by injuries and what magic potion he got at Southern Cal

his first year at USC was nothing special either

10-6 3.49 ERA...good not great

Josh Hamilton has to make this list. I remember when he got drafted and they had an article in a magazine (I can't remember which one now) that said he was hitting balls like 420 feet off of tee and crazy stuff like that. He had no weaknesses as a prospect, he could do it all.

Yeah but 15-1 1.70era, 202ks, 18bb in 138 innings his second year was unreal
