kansas is a pretty solid answer to both of those.

except im a little curious as to what 3 ohio state players you see as first rounders.

Agreed,

Sullinger this year. Buford for certain if he stays another year. DeShaun Thomas if he stays two years.

nobody on ohio state is going first round this year except for sullinger. this is lighty's only chance so he's outta the question, although he will get drafted.

i guess if buford stays and then goes next year he could be first round?

i dont think craft will ever be a first rounder.

ETA: i dont know enough about thomas

Yes, I'm an Ohio State fan but to come in and state that a 15-5 team in a mid-tier conference will come in and wipe the floor with one of the most athletic and talented teams in the nation is borderline ludicrous.

Never said they would wipe the floor. And they arent the most athletic fwiw

i dont actually think that 4 players scoring 29 or more points in a game is a good thing. i understand that it shows how many players have that ability and all that, but i still dont find it as some benchmark for a good team.

what im trying to say is that i think it would be more impressive if ohio state was undefeated and had 0 players score 29 points in a game for the entire season than for them to have 4.

ETA: that doesnt really make sense because it's never bad to have players score a lotta points, i just cant get what i think into the words that i want. basically just disregard all this shite.

Well I named a team that has 4 players to score over 29....I was stating that craft isn't first round material

I could agree with that....I would say seeing all 5 with double digits would be more impressive

6 did it for Ohio State against Purdue.

talking averages.

2008 kansas is usually my benchmark for a perfectly balanced team. everything they did was so team and defense oriented and people thought this would be their downfall, but it was actually the reason they won it all.

i bring them up because they had 4 players average double figures, a 5th averaged 9.3, and nobody scored more than 28 points in a game all year.

florida in '07 was another awesome example of this ('06 probably too but they werent as good).

that's really only one recipe for a national title though and there are plenty of others (see: Anthony, Carmelo).

This thread really has gone to shite.

This for some reason reminds me of LSUintheNW's ranter rampage when he first arrived(Mayo, that is).
In NW's defense though, he appears to have gotten the hang of this board and has gotten better as a poster.

The reading comprehension in this thread is magnificent.

Almost as good as laughing about teams that already beat UDUB have no shot at the Final 4, but UW does.

Dude, someone asked this last week and I gave a detailed response

Btw, who was the fourth Duke player to get 29 points? I know Curry, Mason, and Dawkins have all hit 20 but I don't think they have done more than that.

The rankings look about right to me. Notre Dame is too high, but otherwise no real complaints.

I agree with this. PlUS Mich. St not even getting votes is a shocker. They may not make the tourney. VERY STRANGE for an Izzo team.

They dropped so many games, that they don't deserve any votes right now. Definitely surprising to see this team fall so much though in the past month.

The freshmen in particular have been a huge flop both on and off the court.

This thread is great.

And I'm biased, but I really don't understand the people laughing at the statement ND is better/more likely to make the final four than Wash on page 5.

You're right; ND's schedule is brutal and they have posted more quality wins than Wash., including a win over Wisconsin. IMO there are six teams from the Big East that could make the Final Four.
