I'm the complete opposite of an SECtard being a Pac 12 fan...but I know how the SEC tard-nation thinks and know Georgia is going to see this as some statement game about "the greatest conference in the history of mankind." That's why I like Georgia. Better team = Boise; first game down South and the tards in full effect? I'll take Georgia and the points. Hope I'm wrong though.

teams and coaches do not necessarily see things the way the tard fanbase does.

no doubt Ritch and UGa see it as a big game Season opener vs a top 5 team and all, but unlike much of the SEC fanbase, they realize Boise is a really good team. This idea of making a statement or not embarrassing the conference is purely a fan based viewpoint.

Cal favored on the road over UT 2006. Same with Boise.

"We all felt disrespected," Ainge said. "This game tonight wasn't just for Tennessee versus California. It was for the South versus the West Coast, the SEC versus the Pac-10."

Tennessee 35 - Cal 18 (2006)

The culture permeates to the playing field. Don't kid yourself.

Not like you are making it out.

Everyone says crap like that, after the fact if the underdog wins. Interesting that the guy you quoted was born in Oregon. Being the disrepsected dog at home didn't seem to do shite for Tenn last year.

ETA: If UGA thinks they are out there playing for "Southern Pride" bet the house on Boise. Teams win or lose games, not conferences or regions.

Remind me about all the BSU vs UGA hype, how UGA is gonna lose this game (circa 2005). What was the outcome of that game again?

What handy excuses will be used first, when UGA wins again?

ETA: I have UGA +2

Uhm, no they don't. I believe SEC teams take this South football vs. pansy West Coast Boise shite seriously. I've offered up tangible quotes to prove so. You've offered up your feelings.

Whatever. I'm placing my bets backed by the horse's mouth. You can bet Boise and hope that Georgia just sees this as another game like VaTech or Oregon have done in the past. Good luck.

please remind me, i don't recall there being hype that Boise would win, I know UGA was the betting favorite.

Funny how tards like to make up stories to support their view.

no, you offered one quote from one guy, its really not important enough to me to dig around for similar quotes from other underdogs after they won. I do not dispute that fans feel that way, I guarenfrickingtee you that Mark Richt and UGA do not view Boise the way the vast majority of SEC fans do as some pansy, can't hang with the SEC type team. I assure you they are taking Boise seriously and and as quality opponent.

You are basing your bet on a 5 year old quote from a guy born in Oregeon that played for a different team? sounds like a sound strategy, I wish i was your bookie

quote:

You can bet Boise and hope that Georgia just sees this as another game like VaTech or Oregon have done in the past. Good luck.

So you are saying Oregon and VT did not take Boise seriously? That had they viewed the game as some sort of battle for regional or conference pride they would have won? I will bet you this, UGA is treating Boise the exact same way as VT and Oregon did: A tough OOC opponent that is worthy of respect because they are a good team and a tough challange for Georgia (not the South or the SEC, but Georgia) Which BTW is the exact opposite of how SECtards view Boise.

did you even read this blog that you linked?

Let me highlight a few key points for you:

quote:

many people are picking this game as an upset special in the first week of the college season. Those people should quit sniffing airplane glue.

quote:

The Broncos are not a bad team, they're just not good enough to win at Georgia. The Dawgs traditionally get off to slow starts, so this one will be close at halftime -- 17-7, perhaps. The Bulldogs are too deep, too physical and too good for the Broncos and will eventually pull away and win with ease

for most games you can find someone picking either side, you are acting like the overwhelming consensous was that Boise would win, when in fact, UGA was favored, meaning most people where picking UGA.

Debunks your theory, that it was make believe about betting prior to the 2005 game.

Texas is a pretty solid bet IMO, Harsins offense should put up points and Mack loves him some blowouts.
