So who's the longest tenured coach in the league now? Off the top of my head I'm thinking Hoodie.

I think it's a by-product of our current culture, which is "what have you done for me in the last 30 seconds?".

Titans fans got their wish, but they forgot to be careful what they wish for...

Wana bet?
Who is out there that's still hiring? I doubt he'll be coaching next year.

I'm not.
Now I'm not a Titans fan but I did say all year long that "Jeff Fisher is a pretty average coach/why is he still the Titans coach?"

I just don't get the love for him. If you hire a coach and the coach says to you, "Mr Owner, I promise you won't be disappointed. I'm going to get you to the conference championship once every 16 years." I don't see too many people jumping for joy.

well we are "sort of" happy. Honestly it was time for change....the only problem is....who is going to replace him? Mike Munchak?
Unless we get a "Gruden" type coach (which we wont) then me might as well keep fish. why make a lateral, or backwards, move?

Yeah, y'all got into the coaching search rather late. List of possible candidates?

Brian Schottenheimer
Mike Mularkey
Russ Grimm
Perry Fewell
Rob Ryan
Gregg Williams
Brian Billick
Mike Singletary
Dennis Green
Nick Saban
Kirk Ferntz
Todd Bowles
Mike Nolan
Mike Heimerdinger
Marc Trestman
Jim Haslett
Phil Fulmer
Tom Cable

and of course

Jon Gruden
Bill Cowher

Do any of those excite you, or are any of them better than Fisher?

I was responding to that post in regards to a head coaching position. I could care less if he works in the booth somewhere.

This. Titans fans may end up seeing the Fisher era as a kind of golden age of yore.

Last 30 seconds? I think that's a bit of a stretch. In 16 full seasons and 1 partial as head coach Fisher has a .542 record. He is 5-6 in the playoffs and that includes 3 playoff wins in the Super Bowl run. Only 2 playoff wins since and the last was in 2003. 6 seasons below .500 and 5 of .500 exactly. So only 6 winning seasons out of 17?! Give me a break, this guy is full of mediocrity and failure and has ridden the coat tails of his Super Bowl run for way too long. I'm tired of paying out money every year for no chance of winning more than a handful of games. I don't know how but Fisher has somehow flown under the radar for most NFL fans

Sadly, I could see Adams making a move like this.

Marv won the division twice with the Bungles. That's like Mississippi State winning the SEC West.

Plus Mike Brown is too cheap to do anything that will improve the product so it doesn't matter who the coach is.
