ULM (6-5) salavaged a win yesterday to avoid a sweep at Memphis. Pitching was good all weekend, but they couldn't hit shite in the blizzardy Memphis blizzard conditions. Hawks knocked off #24 Southern Miss last Tuesday. The got McNeese Tuesday then a weekend series agaisnt Northwestern.

UNO scheduled a midweek game with us during their midterm week so they can't travel to Lafayette. Hopefully the game will just be canceled because its going to rape our RPI.

Memphis has been beating a lot of people this year. They must be a little better than normal.

Anyone think the Cajuns will take SBC this year? I saw the NCBWA had them receiving votes into the Top 25.

South Alabama has a good team. As a matter of fact, most of the SBC has gotten off to a good start. I hope we can get a high seed, I'm excited that the conference tourny is at the Tigue this year.

NC State finished off the CCU invitational, going 3-0, two games going into extras. In the last game, Trea Turner, our All-American short stop, led off the 10th with a triple, and State scored the go-ahead run. Bottom of the 10th, with 1 out and a man on first, Trea showed off his 60" vertical, snagging a line-drive and catching the first base runner before he could get back to the bag for the double play.
The CCU announcers were hilarious. Good win.

SLU has been good the last few years. Got screwed out of a Regional a few years ago. Started 16-0 and had over 40 wins. Didn't win the tourney and that screwed us.
