what a fascinating sport to watch.
I’d love to be able to get into it more. Weird but interesting.

Just got the Willow app on Roku for $9.99 a month so I’m back in the game. Apparently Willow is the only place to watch. Hopefully that changes moving forward after USA’s big win.
Some good games today ahead of Sunday’s marquee matchup with India and Pakistan:
9:30 am - Netherlands vs. South Africa
Noon - Australia vs. England
7:30 pm - West Indies vs. Uganda

I’ve tried to understand the scoring many times and come up empty.

Just have to keep watching, it becomes more clear the more matches you watch. Once you get the basics it’s really entertaining, lots of action.

It's pretty easy to understand especially if you watch just a bit really.
It's either the number of times the batters run back and forth on the pitch or a 4/6 if the ball crosses the boundary ropes. 4 if it bounces first - like a ground rule double or 6 if it goes without bouncing - like a homer

dude, get you IPTV service at $10-12 a month and enjoy a whole lot more. Appreciate you and few others here who are cricket fans or beciming fans. Being originally from India been a fan all my life, good to see the game getting some love here.
Ind/Pak watch party is at Bay Leaf Restaurant in BR tomorrow...... $25 for an Indian breakfast buffet and watch the game with some die hard fans. Contact the restaurant if anyone is interested, roughly 40-50 spots in their small banquet area.
ETA: as of 5:20pm Bay Leaf front desk is aware I published this online, guess shoulda let them know before I did that

That sounds fun as hell, wish there was something like that around here.
Watching West Indies vs. Uganda now, Uganda is going nuts with the vuvuzelas. Haven’t heard those in a while.
Edit, I was wrong it’s West Indies that has some artificial noise makers, Uganda has nothing to cheer for right now.

Happy to see this thread still going.
I'm watching on demand replays and I'm a few games behind so I can't risk spoilers. Just wanted to drop in and say I hope everyone is enjoying this fantastic tournament so far

Looks like India/Pakistan might be a washout.
If the match does go on, that already slow outfield is going to make it near impossible to get 4s.

I thought India was cooked when Kohli went out so quickly and then Rohit followed shortly after.

Boys, y'all missed a great time watching at Bay Leaf today ....every emotion from agony to exhilaration in a 3 hour span.....what a frickin game!!!

Hell of a game, thought India was dead in the water when they only got 119. Sounds like a good time at Bay Leaf.

Not sure if they gonna do another one there just yet. Hard to do weekday mornings, but prolly will for the second round if/when India has a juicy matchup on Sat/Sun. Will keep y'all posted here. Good way to learn about the game if anyone wants to plus good food.

India did US a huge favor. Take care of Ireland and US will qualify to Super 8's. Massive step for a new cricketing nation. Bumrah is one of the best bowler in the world. His unique way of using his wrists to move the ball both ways makes it impossible to read the ball from his hand and it is impossible to read it off the deck at 90+MPH
