Zobrist may be 35 but he fits on pretty much any team because of his versatility. I would be all for signing him. I think a vet that's 33+ would be a good addition to this clubhouse also

Interesting that we are opening the season against the Yankees in Yankee Stadium, and our home opener is against KC (a four game series). Tough way to start the year.

I think Luhnow will end up corn holing a team with carter. He will bring in a surprise.

If he doesn't pan out at catcher, he may just be Edgar Martinez 2.0.

frick yes
I really feel like if (when) we make a big move this offseason it's going to be via trade.
Also I was looking at the roster today and having both Valbuena and Lowrie on the roster is kind of an odd fit to me now with Correa entrenched. Can't help but think one of them gets moved and I feel like it will be Valbuena. JMO

Hard to guess on Valbuena and Lowrie, but the latter has more trade value. For example, if the Nats trade us Storen and choose not to re-sign Desmond, Lowrie would be very attractive to them.

I like Valbuenas glove better. He can play 1b, 2b & 3b. Probably could handle short of correa needed a day. Plus he has good power. I liked the lowrie signing but his injury really hurt his future with us IMO

Absolutely. And with how much we like to shuffle the lineup I guess I could see them keeping both since there's some versatility from both guys, and Valbuena could help placehold 1B until Reed comes up

I am all aboard the signing Zobrist train. If we are going to sign a FA position player he is who I want.

Can someone explain what the heck the Rangers are thinking?
They get rid of one of the best (if not the best) pitching coach in MLB and replace him with Doug Brocail?
I'm sorry, but I just was not impressed with the way Doug handles the Astros pitching staff when he was the Pitching coach.
