Having heard Cash version first..that what I thought it was really about. Older folk may like his version more than the new age whipper snappers.
I am not going to dig up the exact quote. After Phil Leah died I saw that box of rain was about him losing his dad. Truthfully I just thought it was a bunch of hippy nonsense
In that process of digging up the meaning I saw a Robert hunter quote, that basic said the biggest pitiful song writers find themselves in is defining what the song means and not letting the audience find their own meaning. Once he accepted that it was more freeing
Right, wrong or indifferent I found that to be a pretty interesting way of coping that once a songwriter puts something out that it’s never really theirs again.

If your wife suggest couples therapy, I’d suggest visiting a lawyer as well
My kids school is closed on more Mondays that I don’t have off than Fridays
It would be more helpful for me to have Monday off
The golf course reasoning is sold too. Also grocery shopping on a Monday would be nice instead of the weekend
Fridays by noon, I am mostly just catching up on stuff anyway and I can usually check out early afternoon

TBH I’m surprised she’s kept it together this long. Hopefully her immediate family can help her before something really bad happens.

He has a great marketing message, all the positives of Christianity with zero responsibility.
Like being responsible for banging a married mother?

Talarico will now have the media with a Beto style lovefest
Beto was all hat no cattle where Talarico can form coherent thoughts and has more reach outside of white women

I think Talarico is going to win. Suburban women are going to eat up his twisted version of Christianity
He will look like the pope after the runoff eats the GOP, I thought he’d win before but feeling pretty confident now.

When we were PE owned, they set the company goals that bonus is structured around so unrealistic that the 100% mark would have been a crazy return to the investors. It was quite the sham job.
The budgets the PE group would give us were pipe dreams and led to a lot of dumb short term thinking, being tightwads on capex spending and chasing new product lines despite getting increasingly shitty servicing our core products
Truth be told I think everyone thought they’d have cashed out but interest have dragged that process out so a lot of large shareholders are still working when they want to be retired

Even the cucks of the Canadian government are supporting this action and the majority of the posters here aren't
If the Canadians agree then I am all in.

Paxton, by all indications, isn't.

quote:
That makes no sense if Paxton is polling higher than Cornyn. Cornyn can beat Talarico and Paxton can't?
Paxton has a pretty narrow lead. The only people that care about cornyn are republicans that think he isn’t MAGA enough. He is just another republican to everyone else
Moderates will hold their nose and vote for him.
Paxton has corruption issues which is red meat for Talarico and cheated on his wife which is an issue for the Baptist
Cornyn is currently running ads that are a gift to Talarico
It won’t matter if Jasmine wins because she’ll get rolled
quote:
The old boy senate network wants Cornyn…….but Cornyn only talks tough around election time…… otherwise he is squishy and not really MAGA…..
That’s why Cornyn is electable because he is so forgettable. I bet the majority of the state could only name Ted Cruz as their senator
I think everyone here is underrating talarico. If it’s him vs Paxton, talarico will win
quote:
How would Paxton lose the general and Cornyn not?
It reminds me of the John Bel Edwards vs vitter but Talarico actually has some juice to him
Paxton is known shithead. Baptist arent going to line up for him
Republicans are better off voting the democrat primary to make sure talarico doesn’t win

Imagine everyone you know with nothing to do. How do you think that will work out for them.
I don’t know where I heard it but when 10/7 happened I heard someone say something to the effect of “unemployment is 50% with young men in Gaza, of course they are blowing shite up. They got nothing to lose”
It’s hard to read the doomer AI post without coming to the conclusion that there will be massive civil unrest
I am pretty skeptical of these AI articles because they are pretty much weekly now, lot of them seem to be pushing to sell AI products. Almost always a line about how the free version doesn’t give you the full picture
If anyone is motivated to get cash flow, it’s AI companies who are pissing cash out of a fire hose right now
I thought the Navy specialize in pushing shite

Normally I shite on the “why Louisiana stays poor” crowd when it comes to property tax gifts to refineries and what not.
However data centers are another animal. They don’t produce enough jobs after construction to justify any relief from property tax. Especially since we know they will all be manned by a few Indians and not some baw
