Rasmus, Correa, White and Marwin are just tearing the cover off the baseball...I questioned if we could hit as many home runs as last year...but hell we may even hit more...

And we have our first Correa bomb of the year!

Stassi had wrist surgery. Out at least 6 weeks.
Better get busy looking for a catcher

Stassi done for a couple months. Mccullers likely not ready for opening week.
I'm concerned about the rotation without mccullers. Hopefully he bounces back from soreness and can start throwing next week.
Today's game is on root sports. Pregame at 11:30.

I'm glad we signed Fister. It would be scary with no McCullers and having someone like Straily in the opening day rotation

LMJ increased his innings load by 50% last year from his professional career high
not too surprising that he is having some early issues. 50 IP increase is substantial from his previous two years work.

Hopefully this will mean he's fresh down the stretch and they don't need to stress out too much about an innings limit

I don't buy in to the innings cap.bullcrap.

Ludlow says reed and white could both make the team depending on the health of gattis.

Yeah, where the hell has PTucker been lately? Is he hurt but they aren't telling? If so, The Kings © are staying.

i was looking at stats this morning on baseball reference and they have this new measure for spring training that tells you the quality of pitcher that hitters have faced. White has faced the equivalent of AA pitching. Dude is on my fantasy team, i need him to be the real deal

Reed is starting in Fresno.
Have to respect the arbitration clock, bro.

The only other catcher on the 40 man is Alfredo Gonzalez. He hit .321 between low A, high A and AA in 2015. But he had a ridiculous .393 BAbip. He had never hit higher than .246 in a season before last year.
The closest catcher (though not on the 40) is Tyler Heineman at AAA. His bat in the minors has been solid but unspectacular. Career .288 hitter with a .364 OBP. Doesn't have much pop even in the way of doubles but he's got a good eye. 101 career walks 117 strikeouts. He's also thrown out 40% of attempted base stealers.

It's most likely going to be Heineman unless we can find a waiver wire guy that fits our needs

Don't worry about the king.

Wait I thought Bregman got cut? He's batting in the 2 hole today
Posted on 3/15/16 at 10:33 am to 5 Deep
They can still play in the games to give guys rest or keep them from traveing.
Posted on 3/15/16 at 10:40 am to Tiger Ryno
So what's the point of cutting them? Just so they can get more playing time in minor league camp?
