De La Cruz isn't even in our MLB.com top 30 prospects.

Been wanting to get Yimi for awhile, a change in scenery should help him a lot

He’s kind of a tweener who’s best outcome is probably similar to Chas. Having a good year in AAA

Kikuchi has a little rock in his delivery like Garcia does... I wonder how distracting that is for hitters?

Trying to connect the dots between what Click *said* and what he is actively showing.
He said: "We are not limited to work under the luxury tax. We can go over it. But if we do go over it, it will be for a substantial talent add. We won't go over the luxury tax for marginal improvement."
His current actions: trading for marginal improvements and staying under the luxury tax.
So, what happens in the next 68 hours? Bryant and the Ginger with the crazy elbow stance, or will he continue to pick small pieces hoping the sum ends up greater than the parts?
My ideal scenario:
Astros send Correa, McCormack, Taylor Jones, Paredes, Bielak, and Raley to Cubs.
Cubs send Bryant, Kimbrel, Tepera, agree to pay rest of this year's salary for Bryant and/or Kimbrel.
Cubs immediately sign Correa long-term for $280 million.
Astros win World Series.
TigerRyno rejoices.

I can't help but notice that your scenario didn't include trading Dusty Baker for David Ross... no World Series happening.

Anyone notice Chas nods his head every time he winds his bat?

Yeah, I considered that… but most of Chicago still hates Dusty. So I figured my delusional trade scenario would get too unrealistic with including Dusty.
I think I’ve come up with a feasible plan for Dusty.
Buy 10 pounds of weed. Put Dusty in an Uber and tell him it’s his limo to the ball park.
Uber drops Dusty and the 10 pounds of weed at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Loveland Colorado. That should keep him busy for the entire month of October.

Rumor mill says Click is offering Urquidy to try and get Scherzer.

I am fine with it if true. Still not sure that’s enough to headline a deal for him

Altuve fricking with Toro on that slide at second.
Shows you that Toro was liked in the clubhouse. Hope the dude has a good career. Just not against the Astros.

It's going to take more than Urquidy... but if not pull the trigger.
I'm sure Washington wants some of the better prospects as well.
I'd throw up Urquidy, Paredes, and a guy not named Whitley, Leon, or Lee.
Posted on 7/28/21 at 3:34 pm to ShaneTheLegLechler
Urkel is more valuable than we think. Years of control for a cheap and very solid MLB starter. In fact, the Astros would want equity back for him.
Posted on 7/28/21 at 3:35 pm to LSUBoo
I’d give them Whitley, at this point. He’s a myth like Baez and James.
Posted on 7/28/21 at 3:36 pm to Jwho77
Yeah for sure. I could see him being especially attractive to a team like Washington that likely doesn’t want a hard rebuild. He slots into the middle of your rotation immediately

Replace Whitley with Hunter Brown.
