The elite bats wanted no part of Hunch ball

I don't actually believe you think this so I don't want it to seem like I'm falling for a troll, but if there is anybody out there reading this who is feeling this way...
Both are upgrades at 2 of our most frustrating positions the last few years. That in itself is reason to express joy. I don't think anybody is expecting these 2 to have career years for us...it's been mentioned we have the young stars we just need the solid role players and that's exactly what these 2 signings look like

If anything they're improvements based on their lack of strikeouts they'll bring over what they're replacing.

I like it, we discussed him several times during in season DATs. Solid vet means it's one less position where we'll depend on a young guy stepping in to perform immediately.

The thing I like about Reddick is he's more of a contact hitter with a good BB/K ratio. We need guys putting the ball in play more in the spot he will be hitting in and that's hopefully what should happen

Like the moves so far. Lineup predictions? I'll start
1. Springer RF
2. Bregman 3B
3. Altuve 2B
4. Correa SS
5. McCann C/DH
6. Reddick LF
7. Gattis DH/C
8. Yuli 1B
9. Teoscar/Jake CF
Thoughts??

Maybe switch Gattis and Reddick if we are guessing the most likely lineup we would see
If we are saying what we personally would want? Count me as a vote for Bregs leading off

I like that idea of Bregs leading off. Don't know if Hunch would do that though. Who else do we go after? I'd personally like to see us go get a CF like Dexter Fowler. Don't know how likely that is though

Looks about right. Maybe they move George to CF and Reddick to RF with more Aoki/Teoscar in LF but who knows. I'm curious what the plan is at 1B/DH on an everyday basis. If Gattis is going to be DH a lot they probably need to carry a third catcher

Not counting anything out, but I would imagine we are pretty set on our position players.
While I am all for today's moves, this better not have been the main agenda for the offseason. We simply cannot enter next season without having improved our rotation

They gave 20 mill to Morton and reddick.

So pumped about reddick! Fits great with what we are doing. Happy with McCann too. Just a trade for a starter is all that's left

My hope is with these moves out of the way they can focus on a deal for a true frontline starter. That was need number one coming into the offseason and still is. At least we know they are being aggressive

I am 100% convinced that if someone gave you a load of gold bricks, you'd bitch and moan that they were too heavy.
Just admit that there's absolutely nothing this team can do that you wouldn't complain.

Exactly we needed a solid outfielder we got one. He may not be an all star but he cost us ZERO prospects and is a massive improvement from the black hole we had with Gomez/marisnick. We needed another catcher we got McCann for nothing.
There are no sp on the market. Holding the assets for a sp trade was the right decision.

So? What would you have paid them? These are pieces they are signing now. I don't know if you have noticed, but every signing in the offseason will be blockbusters.
I don't know why I keep replying to your stupid arse.
