and lester this isnt the 80/90s nba anymore. the nba is trying to get away from hard cheap fouls. because lawsuits could be filed. just think if stephenson knee blows out on that foul, potentially ending his career the lawsuit he could have against the nba.

everyone is entitled to their opinion
there are plenty hard fouls that are blatant cheap shots. But they are protected because the player is going for the ball, or going for a rebound. It is no different. And yes, it was very common in the 80's 90s.

I could see your argument (even though i wouldn't agree with it) if it were on a basketball play, but he went out of his way to cause physical harm to another player...possibly causing a concussion.

every sport polices itself like this. get a clue dude. "gang" retaliation? how sheltered were you growing up? Did you play any sports?

Yeah I did, and nothing like this happened.
It's goes from Hard foul to gang like retaliation when you do what Pittman did on a non basketball play. I don't see people in baseball taking pot shots at players throats running full speed with no pads. Especially given how much bigger Pittman is than Stephenson.
Football allows this sort of thing to happen because people are wearing pads and generally the hits are legal (nfl has made more rules against this though)
It just baffles me that you think what Pittman did is ok.

Really plays like that that turn people off from the NBA. rather just see good hoops like the display Brandon Bass put on yesterday or Lebron in game 4.

Thank you. Hell Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaq who all played in the 80's and 90's said that it was ridiculous and had no place in the NBA.
