MLS has the best all-star game bc you can root for one of the sides in it and not feel like a douche

MLB AS Gm by far the best, but having WS home field advantage riding on it's outcome is beyond utterly moronic.

I prefer the NHL all-star game, but after that it's the MLB.

NHL game doesn't have as many big hits as the normal game but they do play defense.

I could take any of these just as well as a baseball player could.. none of these are effected by your level of fitness.

Could you catch or pitch nine innings of baseball?..the answer is no.

You probably couldn't play outfield for nine innings of baseball. You'd misjudge too many balls and you trying to hit a 90 mph fastball or a 90 mph slider would just be laughable.

also i think NBA has the best one... MLB has too many non-stars in the game, and i'm pretty sure celebs don't go to where MLB is and party that weekend

A pitcher has how many starts a year? oh that's right.. like 30 at the most. which is a lot less than the average soccer or NBA player. And when was the last time you saw a pitcher pitch nine innings? every game? wait.. no.

When did this become a debate of skill? Pay attention, you can't even begin to argue that baseball has the same wear and tear on a body that any other sport has, that's what is laughable.

they should end football all star game.

MLB's game is terrific now that it counts for home field in World Serious.

hoops can be good, depending on who the players are.
back when Boston Celtics sent their whole front line and a point guard, those guys were SERIOUS about it.

those fast breaks with only the guys from the team with the ball going down the court was an embarrassment.

No its not it is a terrible idea. The Rangers were 6 games better then St. Louis and the Rangers won their division. The Cardinals had no business having home field advantage. Do you think its fair that home field was determined by a total of 7 players that played in the World Series? If it was in Texas last year, there is a good chance the Rangers win the World Series.

Meh they dont play against the same teams so win/loss record isnt really the best measurement either. That's why i dont have a problem with it. Also it would be different if it the world series was just one game, but it's 4 home games vs 3. If you dont win the world series stop blaming it on the all-star game. just make you look like a pout because your team lost.

Its not just that, the rules are different for both leagues. It is a disadvantage for the NL with the DH and also for the AL with the pitcher hitting. I think if the rules were the same, then having it count for home field isn't a bad idea. But since the leagues are different, its a bigger disadvantage for one team or the other. I think they should do that for basketball or hockey. But really, they should do away with the games and just have a skills competition at the end of the year, like a HR derby between the top 10 HR leaders, a skill competition for NHL, NBA, and NFL at the end of the year. Maybe add a small 2v2 or 3v3 tourney for the NBA at the end of the year.

Hell no. The coolest thing about last year's MLB ASG weekend was kate upton and erin andrews playing in the celeb game. Baseball is just too slow and teams don't have the ability to adjust to an opposing team's defense/offense like the NBA/NFL/MLS( )

I liked when it used to alternate each year, so having the All-Star game determine home-field doesn't bother me too much.

I don't like giving it to the team with the best record because they don't play the same teams, like you said.

In the MLB All Star Game, it displays the best players in the world who actually play hard(for the most part) while they are in the game. No other All-Star game in like that. Sorry if you don't like baseball.

I'm not gonna lie, I fricking hate baseball, but they can all play harder in their ASG because it's not as physically demanding as soccer/b-ball/football.
