No worries though - Oregon is going to take care of business. OK AGAIN. They are a DECENT team. Not on the LSU/USC/BAMA level. Sorry its true

I know more about USC than you. I predicted an LSU win over Oregon. I am predicting an Oregon win over USC. I am a homer but I can be more objective than most.

LSU is much better than SC. It's not even close. Woods and Lee get used way too much and it will come to bite them in the arse.

Why is Bama supposed to be so great? Superstar runningback gone, Average QB throwing to all new WRs and TEs and lost half your defense. Alabama is a 9 win team.

At this point, I think most CFB just assume they will reload. They stockpile awesome talent.

Let me tell ya what I KNOW. USC had a better shot at beating LSU/ OR Bama last year more than ANYONE else. WHY???? A STRONG passing game in which BOTH LSU and BAMA DID NOT SEE last year. FACT.

I will put it this way. Bamas overall talent>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Michigans. And its just not that close. Now IF Mich were gonna play a WHOLE season in the SEC??????? They would be LUCKY to finish at .500. Its just the way it is.

We recruit the same areas, play them every year, and I follow their beat writers. I almost attended USC and have many friends that went there. I spoke to one that was at the spring game. Tons of talent in the starting 22. There is a ton of dropoff after that. Their dline is going to take a hit this year. They will have an ungodly linebacking corp. It doesn't matter to me. Oregon trounced Barkley two years and he decided pull the best game of his career out of his arse against us.

Trust me on this - USC will have to be supremely lucky to get through unscathed. If Lee/Woods/Barkley go down, that team will be above average on offense with no depth on the dline.

Oregon played USC and Dion Jordan and Stuckey went out in the first half. Oregon has way more depth on defense this year. Just watch...

So essentially hype is why people think they'll be this great team because nothing about their roster does

I don't see another Trent Richardson on their roster and he was pretty much their entire offense. We know the QB is average and their WRs and TEs are all brand new. I might buy them being good on defense but their offense is going to be awful.

The good news is that Michigan will get a shot to prove that. Until then, I would put my money on Bama. Their qb looks average in the SEC. I am sure he will look much better against Michigan. That, and whatever 4/5 star back the put back there will have an excellent oline.

I didn't say they should be #1 - just that SC shouldn't.

But they will be. The DUCKS have some holes as well. LIKE getting their arse kicked ALL over the field by LSU last year. And the SAME thing would happen THIS YEAR. You wanna talk about The Ducks being better than USC??? Go ahead. They are BOTH below LSU/ BAMA. FACT.

Auburn was a marginal top 25 team last year (may have even been in the top 25 BCS final rankings), and we'll be a better team in 2012.... easier schedule (drop south carollina for vandy, LSU/Ark at home, clemson in ATL instead of death valley).... significantly improved on defense (vangorder for roof is a bigtime upgrade).... tons more experience than last year (returning 16+ starters).

no reason AU shouldn't be a top 20 to 25 team to begin 2012

Its NOT how you start. Its how you finish. AU WILL be better and make some noise. Prob a top 20 when all is said and done.

By non factor you mean over 100 yards and scored Alabama's only touchdown? Also 1 game means nothing Trent Richardson was their offense.

Yes Richardson did have over 100 yards in that game.

Alabama losses their top 4 pass receivers and their 1700 24 td runningback. Alabama's offense is going to suck.

believe me, I would love nothing more than for this to be true... but they're returned 4/5 on the best OL in college football last year, and their starting QB.... you're an idiot if you think their offense is gonna "suck" in 2012.
