But they will be. The DUCKS have some holes as well. LIKE getting their arse kicked ALL over the field by LSU last year. And the SAME thing would happen THIS YEAR. You wanna talk about The Ducks being better than USC??? Go ahead. They are BOTH below LSU/ BAMA. FACT.

Wow. You are really smart. I already said LSU is better. Can't argue with stupid.

I am dealing with it. It's really tough though. It's tough being ranked #4.

Are you the one that said LSU backed out a series with USC and then couldn't back it up? If so, I'm still waiting for your link...

That was definitely not me.

I love how LSU fans are coming at me after stating that USC doesn't deserve to be #1 over LSU...sometimes you guys are a weird fanbase.

It was one of you Ducks spouting all kind of nonesense.

I didn't read this thread, but:

1. April (when it came out) rankings don't mean much of anything.

2. It's clearly debatable. Sorry you lumped in with USC

Flyinpac is just one poster.

Personally I don't care that much. Some here are tired of the USC suckfest. In the end Oregon will get their shot at them...probably twice.

Let me tell ya what I KNOW. USC had a better shot at beating LSU/ OR Bama last year more than ANYONE else. WHY???? A STRONG passing game in which BOTH LSU and BAMA DID NOT SEE last year. FACT.

This scares me. The rant has invaded the MSB so even you are reduced to defending USC.

That's the one. Yes, Oregon could feel LSU's pain and have to beat them twice. Your victory in the November "game of the century" won't mean jack...

Here's hoping it's not that way though.

You're actually one of the intelligent Oregon fans.

I'm still excited to see if Chip's system will work long term, and hopefully he keeps getting better and better talent.

believe me, I would love nothing more than for this to be true... but they're returned 4/5 on the best OL in college football last year, and their starting QB.... you're an idiot if you think their offense is gonna "suck" in 2012.

Stanford and Wisconsin had far and away the best offensive lines last year everyone knows this. Trent Richardson made Alabama's OL look much better than they actually were. Nothing about their roster indicates they will have a good offense next year.

I know more about USC than you REALLY? Careful. We recruit the same areas, play them every year, and I follow their beat writers. I almost attended USC and have many friends that went there. I spoke to one that was at the spring game. Tons of talent in the starting 22. There is a ton of dropoff after that. Their dline is going to take a hit this year. They will have an ungodly linebacking corp. It doesn't matter to me. Oregon trounced Barkley two years and he decided pull the best game of his career out of his arse against us. Trust me on this - USC will have to be supremely lucky to get through unscathed. If Lee/Woods/Barkley go down, that team will be above average on offense with no depth on the dline. Oregon played USC and Dion Jordan and Stuckey went out in the first half. Oregon has way more depth on defense this year. Just watch...

I guarantee you don't know more about USC than I do. The only thing you have hit somewhat accurately will be the interior of the d-line. The rest is fluff and conjecture.

So essentially hype is why people think they'll be this great team because nothing about their roster does

No, plenty about their roster does say they will be great, you are either a great troll or just to stupid to see it.

quote:

I don't see another Trent Richardson on their roster and he was pretty much their entire offense

So apparently you suffer from the same type of zero sum blindness as King Joey and don't or won't understand marginal differences.

Trent Richardson was a special back and he's gone that's ture. They also probably don't have anyone THAT good again, but they do have plenty talent guys. Eddie Lacy is a very good college RB and TJ Yeldon could be better, but he's inexpirienced. Call it hype if you want, but some retard radio host in BR (cough Scone cough) last year was wondering how their running game would be good without their Heisman winner Ingram since Richardson wasn't "proven" as an everydown back.

quote:

I might buy them being good on defense

You might buy that?

quote:

but their offense is going to be awful

Define awful. They don't have to be Ok State on offense. They just need their QB to not frick up and run any number of talented RB's behind a great OL with 4 of 5 starters back.

Hey retard: When will the day happen when you are able to get something right? You are a tard. I call you people "Rantards". First you quoted me wrong and then you assume BisonDuck is me. Is my user name or sig or anything remotely close to his?

Backing out implies that a actual Contract was made and broken or a verbal agreement was made to have a contract and broken. No such things occurred. Try quoting me right Dumb Fu_k. After the 2003 season there was bad blood with USC and LSU. Gee, I wonder why... However USC's AD reached out to LSU's and try to get a game scheduled to settle things. LSU was not interested. That is a fact. What is also true is that USC tried to ask any other SEC teams if they were interested in playing. None would. Gee, I wonder why... USC only embarrassed the SEC 4 straight times this past Century. And also if you must know, LSU's AD refused a home/home with my School. They desired for us to fly down to LSU's TS for one game. We said we could, but only if they agreed to fly up here and play us(home/home). LSU balked. Negotiations stopped. Then out of the blue, it was back on, LSU offered a "Neutral Site" (lol) game in Dallas at Jerry World. All this is inside information. I have no link dumbass. Nore do I desire trying to find one. I could care less if you believe this or not.

However, what is common public knowledge that anyone can google, to which I have read their AD and Coach talk about, is BSU. BSU asked you, and all the other SEC teams if they would be willing to play them. All declined. (I am talking 1-3 years ago). However ESPN stepped in, feeling bad for their pet BSU, and approached UGA with a TV deal for a game in Atlanta, even offering them more money then BSU. Plus, in time Old Miss would sign a contract for future game as well. However, according to BSU's AD, they approached all SEC teams, and all refused to play them; As BSU was very desperate to schedule teams from power Conferences but none would play them...And I assume LSU is a SEC team and I assume the BSU AD is not lying in his saying he was getting rejected from all those other schools, including yours...

Wow, this statement is 1000 kinds of retarded. You know absolutely nothing about Offensive Line play if you think a RB makes them look better than they are. Only retards or trolls would judge an OL based on rushing stats alone.

Oregon fans can really fool themselves...every team is lucky to beat them...LSU, USC, Auburn... those teams physically dominating them...opponents running up HUGE leads straight up...Oregon hoping for scrubs, turnovers and late game fatigue to make the games look close...so you can point to all these missed or made FGs and say see, it was close!...you were never physically in the USC game - 24 point lead until USC started turning the ball over - you weren't in the LSU game and you were barely in the Auburn game where some late game trickeration made it somewhat interesting.

For most of all these games against the big boys you couldn't do jack on offense until fatigue late in the 4th or turnovers...your cute O couldn't do jack shite until then. You aren't in the same league but keep fooling yourselves and the country with all these "close" games.
