David Klingler in 1990/1991 threw for massive yards and TD’s at the university of Houston ( Run & shoot) and never sniffed the Heisman. He also was a bust in the NFL.

The difference in his stats and Nabers is about 1.5 catches per game, they have the same ypc and TDs, which makes his TD/ catch rate higher. He’s the best player on a team that was #1 much of the year and finished 11-1, someone has to be the 4th

Because his dad is an NFL HOFer. But that logic still doesn't fly. Because by that logic, you may has well have invited Brenden Rice as well then.

I’ve seen and heard a lot of people this year misuse the word “invite” when talking about the Heisman. They don’t have the power to just “invite” whoever they want. It’s based on votes. (It used to be you had to finish within a certain % of winning, which is why there were years you only had 2 or 3 guys. I think they’ve changed it recently to where you either have to invite 4 or can only invite for.
Either way, the ones in New York are the top vote getters. There will be no one sitting at home who hit more than the 4 there. If Harrison is going to New York, he finished at least 4th.

while having a FCS level defense is held against Daniels when it comes to the Heisman
Yes and no. On the one hand, it appears the losses hurt him. On the other, the bad defense meant the offense got A LOT more field time.

Does it really matter if you come in 4th place?

JK Dobbins came in 6th place in 2019 & took 2 first place votes from Joe Burrow.

Doesn’t fricking matter
