Few Questions regarding this week:
My starting line-up:
QB: Roethlisberger
RB: Steven Jackson
RB: Marshawn Lynch
WR: Andre Johnson
WR: Santana Moss
WR: Michael Jenkins
TE: Kellen Winslow
PK: Neil Rackers
DF: New York Jets
My Bench:
QB: Jamarcus Russell
RB: Edgerrin James
RB: Jonathan Stewart
WR: Eddie Royal
WR: Javon Walker
WR: Sidney Rice
Should I substitute E. James for Lynch? Should I put in any of my receivers in place of Jenkins?

I think you may want to consider starting Galloway in place of Henderson, but since Colston is hurt it's a tough choice.

I would leave Lynch. Your lineup looks pretty solid

That is what I was thinking. I like my line-up this year except I am not crazy about my receivers.

My lineup
QB E. Manning
RB A Peterson (Minn.)
R/W Jonathan Stewart
R/W Michael Turner
WR Braylon Edwards
WR Courtney Taylor
W/T Heath Miller
K Gostkowski
Def. Player Cromartie
Bench
QB Mcnabb
WR Limas Sweed
WR Colston
W/T Jonathan Carlson
KJosh Scobee
Only thing I am struggling with is whether to leave Manning (plays soft St. Louis D) or replace him with Mcnabb (plays solid Dallas D)

Is the Texans game this week going to be moved or postponed due to hurricane ike?

There is really bad news in Jacksonville--they have no offensive line.
To amend my earlier statement about Jacksonville's offensive line, here is more information. They do, in fact, appear to have an offensive line. I am really hoping this works itself out and doesn't make my Jones-Drew pick meaningless.
quote:
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars continued to revamp their battered offensive line Wednesday, signing free agent Todd Wade and placing Maurice Williams on injured reserve.
Wade started 10 games for Washington last season, working at guard and tackle, but sprained his ankle this preseason and was released in final roster cuts. The nine-year veteran has started 96 games, playing in Miami (2000-03), Houston (04-05) and Washington (06-07).
Coach Jack Del Rio said Wade was still dealing with the injury and might not be ready to play for at least another week.
Williams, the team's starting right guard and a backup tackle, ruptured his right biceps Sunday at Tennessee. The Jaguars also lost starting left guard Vince Manuwai (knee) for the season in the opener.
Making matters worse, they already were without starting center Brad Meester (biceps) and backup tackle Richard Collier, who was shot last week. Meester is expected to miss at least the first four games.
In an effort to fill the voids, Jacksonville signed guard Milford Brown and tackle Chad Slaughter on Tuesday, and added tackle Charles Spencer last week. The moves give the Jags four new linemen who weren't around for training camp and the preseason.

Sea D vs. SF or Titans D at Cin

Eddie Royal or Dwayne Bowe?
I'd go with Bowe. If you saw Royal torch the Raiders Monday night, you have to think that they want to challenge the Lions for best fantasy match up situation. With Huard under center, KC might actually complete a few passes. I really like Royal, but I just can't see the repeat for him with Marshall returning and a stiffer D on the other side of the ball.

how about start larry johnson vs. oak or willie parker vs. cleveland . . . or, do i sit steven jackson and play both LJ and parker? the rams are terrible and going up against the NYG
That's quite a backfield you've got. Is your league eight teams? I love LJ against the Raiders, but it would be hard to sit Willie after his week 1. Then you have Jackson--I refuse to believe he'll be limited to 40 yards two weeks in a row. I have to punt on this one, but I do have a question. Did my eyes deceive me or did I see Jamaal Charles in for KC several times last Sunday? What you might look at is the relative number of carries between LJ and SJ. Was Jackson getting opportunities or did lack of touches limit his production?

Romo vs the Eagles or Favre vs the Pats???? anyone? anyone?
Maybe you missed the Cowboy game last week, but Romo had time to eat a sandwich every time he dropped back. If not for one play where the D to got him, his jersey wouldn't have been dirty enough to wash. Stop drinking the Favre coolaid and play Romo until Jessica Simpson rots his brain.

I just wanted to let everybody know that "I'M" the guy that had Vince Young and M. Colston starting!
Now it's Matt Ryan and Cotchery.

donald driver or santana moss
Newsflash, the Lions have no defense. Translation, play Driver. (However, I must admit to an anti-Santana bias. He dissappoints me every year.) Also, Rodgers may not be setting QB records, but Campbell is not an upgrade. And, lastly, of the two, Driver is the better WR.

Sea D vs. SF or Titans D at Cin
Well, I didn't see much of the Hawks D last week or the Titans either, but I heard the Titans did well. When I pick a D, I'm looking for possible special teams (Bills always good on special teams), a weak QB on the other side who will throw to the wrong colored jersey and allow too many sacks, and complete offensive anemia that might allow for a shutout. With that criteria in mind, I say it's a push on category 1, nod to the Hawks on category 2, and a slight edge to the Hawks on category 3. I see disarray for both TEN and SEA, but I give the defensive nod to Seattle this week. Remember, despite a couple of good runs, Gore couldn't break the century mark against the Cardinals. Lastly, as a tie breaker, pick the D that plays at home.

wrlakers can you help:
Start 2 Rbs, 2 WR, 1 WR/RB
I have:
Clinton Portis
Ryan Grant
Selvin Young
Chris Johnson
Kevin Smith
Jonathan Stewart
Plaxico Burress
Marvin Harrison
Bernard Berrian
DeSean Jackson
I'm leaning on Grant, Portis, Plaxico, and Jackson (we get return yards). Maybe Young for my flex. Any opinions?

Grant vs. the Lions should be a lock. If they stop him, he'll be the first RB in history to let that happen. Looking at the other options, I would note that the Bengals let Flacco run on them. (Funniest thing I've seen in while.) That bodes well for Johnson. On balance, I think you should go with your top pick (assuming Portis) because he won't be sharing like Young will.
Re WRs, I am really concerned about your desire to bench Marvin. I doubt the Colts will continue to struggle like they did against the Bears. The Vikings highly-touted D was unable to prevent Aaron Rodgers from throwing into the end zone. I am almost tempted to say use Jackson as your flex and start Plax and Marv. Jackson will want to do well on Monday night, but don't look for McNabb to light the 'Boys up like he did the Rams.
I can't decide whether I'd give the nod to Jackson or Young on the flex. I usually prefer the RB option because you know touches are going to be there, but the return yards (if DeSean is going to return this week) are attractive.

Dear LSUSportsR4me,
I am disappointed that you would call out another poster for advice that was sound when given.
You are the coach/owner/GM of your fantasy team, and it's on you if you start the wrong team. There is no one, not any odds maker or sports analysis or Tigerdroppings.com poster, who knows who is going to gain the most yards this Sunday.

Aren't you the guy who told me to play Peterson and Gore over Gore and Turner when it turned out it would have been the right move?

Thanks for the comments. I agree with the flex that I usually would do an RB, I just know Jackson had a great game last week points-wise, whereas Young was splitting carries.
Also, I have McNabb and Aaron Rodgers. I planned on starting McNabb even though he wouldn't put up numbers like last week. Would you go with McNabb or Rodgers?
