Would you go with McNabb or Rodgers?
You have introduced an unexpected wrinkle into the mix. I usually try not to load up on multiple players from a single team. It leads to bad Sundays much of the time. But it's too late to worry about that. I have to say that recent history shows that anyone vs. the Lions is a good bet. On the other hand, it is my policy never to sit a fantasy star in favor of a mediocre player with a good match up. This may be the week that Rodgers puts up 300 yards and a couple of TDs, but he's never done it before like McNabb has. Nod goes to McNabb (with the warning that you should stay away from all firearms between noon and three on Sunday).

I have to start two of these three stiffs, which two: David Patten, Roddy White, Santana Moss. I picked up Patten after Colston went down and have Steve Smith on the bench for one more week (serving his 2 game suspension). I'll hang up and listen.

I have got to think that Patten will benefit from Colston's absence. Brees won't be able to throw every pass to Shockey or Bush. White only had 2 catches for 53 yards against the Lions; Moss had five grabs for 37 plus a TD. When chosing between sucky and suckier, go with the guy who touches the ball more.

Romo vs the Eagles or Favre vs the Pats???
Maybe you missed the Cowboy game last week, but Romo had time to eat a sandwich every time he dropped back. If not for one play where the D to got him, his jersey wouldn't have been dirty enough to wash. Stop drinking the Favre coolaid and play Romo until Jessica Simpson rots his brain.
I have to amend my earlier comment with this information:
quote:
Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo is 0-2 as a starter in his career against the Philadelphia Eagles at home. He has only thrown one touchdown in those two games while throwing five interceptions and getting sacked seven times.
This does not bode well for Tony. Maybe the Eagles have his number. I will also admit I have an anti-Favre bias. I say these things in the interest of full disclosure. I would still play Romo.

I think this Sunday might be one of Moss's big days of the year. He seems to only have a few a year. The Saints defense shouldn't be the obstacle the Giants were.

I have LJ against Oakland, no brainer.
Now I have to pick out of these three:
Jamal Lewis vs. Pittsburg
McGahee vs. Texans
K. Smith vs. Packers

Interesting. I agree that the Saints will be softer than the Giants and that inconsistent Moss will be a star one week and break your heart the next. I will be watching to see which it is this week.

Yikes! McGahee appears have the starting job, but will likely see reduced carries. Too bad because I like his match up best. I like Lewis over Smith as a general proposition, but the Steelers are a rough bunch. Smith may be safer bet, but this tough. Maybe there are other more definitive opinions.

Question:
My WRs are Marques Colston, Calvin Johnson, Michael Jennkins and Sidney Rice.
My RBs are Joe Addai, Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, and Steve Slaton.
I was thinking about dropping Slaton to get Reggie Brown. Yea or nay? Also, who should I start this week out of these guys.

Here's a trade I was offered:
Lee Evans
Eddie Royal
for
Westbrook (my team).
I just need reassurance this as bad as a trade offer as I think it is.

Start Addai for sure, and think seriously about Jones. I like McFadden's match up much better, and I hear that Barber is going to play, but Barber's status might give Jones more carries. Also, remember that at least part of the running on KC will be done by Fargas.
quote:Johnson is obvious. I hate to recommend Jenkins over Rice, but gosh Tarvaris looked bad Monday night. Indy didn't make Orton look like a star so don't count on Jackson looking like one. I hate to put any confidence in a rookie, but look for Ryan to do better as teams try to stop that Turner-Norwood rushing attack.
Marques Colston, Calvin Johnson, Michael Jennkins and Sidney Rice.

Thanks a ton. So do you think I should go for the Slaton-Brown thing, or should I keep as is, or trade another player for Brown?

I have no clear information on Brown's hamstring. Is going to limp all year or is he going to play? Also, I hate to see you drop Slaton. I think he'll eventually be a decent RB and RBs are at a premium. Don't you have an extra kicker you can dump for Brown instead?

I would only dump Westbrook if I had LT, AP, Willie Parker, Michael Turner, and Joseph Addai. No way you cut loose a top tier RB for a very good WR and an unproven rookie wide out. Do you not have any WRs?
Posted on 9/11/08 at 4:03 pm to wrlakers
I have very good reciever and good rbs. I have Portis, Willie Parker, Santonio, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Torry Holt, Berrian and Crotchery. Now I think that trade is even more turable.

You cannot afford to dump Brian and you don't need those WRs. Tell the person offering the trade that you're off crack and are no longer susceptible to offers like his.

Okay...I am looking to start a 4th WR as my flex since Dallas Clark looks like he is out. Who would you start as a 4th receiver?
Matt Jones
Ike Hilliard
Issac Bruce

Derek Andrson, they're both not going to have big games, but Matt Cassell will have a reality check.
