18 National Championships have been decided or influenced by that game.

It is called the greatest Intersectional rivalry for a reason.

And I do remember Tulane 48 LSU 6 in the Dome. I was there. I had LSU fans tell me they wish the Wave would have shut the Bayou Bengals out.

Volvagia I usually have a respect for whatever you post-- even if I don't agree- whether it be here or the Poli board.

However, the last post= fail.

who gives a shite.

the truth is every game in the SEC is a rivalry. Nobody gives a shite about the rest of the slapdick Pac-10 outside of Oregon and OSU who have stepped up

I'm sorry, but outside of the California schools, SC doesn't have the same type of rivalry that SEC teams have with legitamately every team in the conference

I forgot you rarely read posts before responding to them...hence reading over the whole ASIDE FROM THE STORIED TRADITION part. I should have known better than to try to have a rational conversation with a usc fan not named usc6158.

ETA: Over the last 10 or so years...what has meant more every year...USC-ND or LSU-Florida/Florida-Georgia/Auburn-Bama etc etc. ?

Bit of an overstatement but between the big dogs, more true than not.

Never seen a conference that hates each other's guts when they play to the point of burning an effigy of the opposing coach, and turn around and support them for OOC/bowl games.

Musta been about 300 LSU fans and a smattering of OU/UF fans where I saw the game, and the LSU fans were loudly rooting and applauding for UF.

I just can't see things like OSU rooting for Penn, and it would be a cold day in hell when Michigan fans would root for OSU over Texas.

Your sig says it all, dude.

ever since auburn got left out following their undefeated season there has been a collective chip on every team in our conferences shoulder...we all feel like we have something to prove. its a good thing we tigers and those gators can back up our shite.

Aw damn, now some of the lurkers from WeareSC are gonna gonna run back laughing gleefully and share that little line.

They STILL bring up that civil war sign from baseball last year, deliberately out of context of course.
