Haven’t been able to check in this thread because I have been insanely busy, but I’m glad F1 is back.
I could find a reason to root for most of the teams on the grid, but definitely hoping that the Red Bull can bring Max a WDC.

Yes, hoping that Red Bull / Honda have taken that extra step this year and will stick it to Mercedes.
1. Rooting for Max to take it. Not particularly a fan of his, but he's the fastest driver on the grid and deserves it if the team can deliver.
2. Rooting for both Lando and Daniel to have a great year.
3. Rooting for both Gasly and Tsunoda to have a great year.
According to Drive to Survive, Abiteboul was extremely offended by Daniel signing with McLaren and was absolutely convinced he made a mistake. So far it looks like a good move.

Just checked the results of FP1 and FP2, cautiously optimistic that we may have a shake up at the the top. Midfield looks closer than ever. Can’t wait for quali!

After the first two practices getting my hopes up.
But still expecting mercs 1/2 in qualifying until I see something changing.
Midfield looks even tighter than last year should be great

Mercs are still the Mercs. Max is still Max. Lando is interesting. I really want McLaren to do well. I don’t have any team or drivers that I dislike, but I don’t ever find myself rooting for Ricardo. So that will be interesting while rooting for McLaren.
I think Red Bull has a real shot this year though. And hopefully Ferrari figures it out. And Haas.

Haas is a train wreck. To think a few years ago they battled for 4th in the Constructors.
I'm surprised. I just started getting into DTS a few months back and to see where they went from the first season there is crazy. What the hell went wrong? Guenther seemed to really be on top of things.

ETA: If I had my choice it would be Singapore or Monaco but I'll save those for a better traveling time.
Having raced on Spa in iRacing, I have to go there one day.

At least for last year, Haas was saddled with whatever happened to the Ferrari engine, which I have read was supposed to have more horsepower, so it losing that aspect pretty much killed other areas of the car designed with the engine in mind. For the other 2 years prior, no clue.
Interested to see what happens today, I think the Merc and RB will be closer this year, but still at the top of the charts. The midfield race should be excellent, as I assume Ferrari fixed their shitbox and should be better, while fighting it out with Alpine, Aston Martin, and McClaren.

I really think lando could steal a pole at some point.
Aston Martin looks lost. They better watch out or they'll be battling haas for last.

And here we go....
If Max is really as fast as he showed in P3 then this going to be no doubt.

Qualifying is about to get started. In a perverse way I'm hoping Mercedes locks out the front row. In reality I just hope for a nice mixed grid.

Mazepin has to be good for another spin in Q1

Mazepin better be happy his dad is a billionaire. They might have to buy a new car every race.
