Greater than 50% chance of conversion, I believe. You’ll get two shots assuming you score another TD. That’s what the data will tell you. Not sure that was the right call there within the context of this game, though.

You have to catch it or it to be a fair catch though. Once it hits the turf it’s live I thought.
ETA: Same reason you can’t call a fair catch on an onside kick.

Tech burns a TO. That's not good. Either run the play or punt or kick the FG, even a delay and then punt. But burning a To in a tight game is not good.
