Yeah, I didn't love Pete because I was an Agassi guy, but I would love to see him destroy the current crop on '90's Wimbledon grass, with that era's racquet and string technology.

Three guys in one era blowing past every record should make people think twice about why that happened.

I played with the same racket that Pete used and it destroyed my elbow - that thing was stiff as hell.

I also don’t think people realize how athletic Pete was. He was fast as shite, but went largely unnoticed by the masses becasue he served and volleyed

Ask guys like aggasi and courrier. They’ll tell you Pete was faster than Nadal and Djok

When Djokovic is playing well, there isn’t a person past or present beating him. The only reason he isn’t tied with Nadal and would be ahead of him in majors by this week is because he is a pure blood that won’t get the shot

Up until 5 years ago I would have said Federer. Now? It’s the Joker

Sampras was great for his era and you could argue he might be the tops because he was so dominant.

But, I think Borg given his era might be the best ever. Back then these guys really did not train after this weekend for 4-5 months and relied solely on natural athletic ability.

In the case of Borg, he routinely skipped the Australian Open, I think he stopped going after 1974. But he would show up for the summer.

I don't know that anyone was as dominant as Borg before that time

No way Pete is faster than Djokovic. Now I think Agassi was a better returner than Djokovic, but Joker is still the best ever to play. He will end up with the best overall grand slam championships before he retires.

No because he refuses to get the jab which makes perfect sense and wasn't allowed to play at the australian open nor US open. Won't matter. He will win at least two next year as long as the vaccine rules change.

Lendl was first to really hit the weights.

I can't take the records set by these three guys seriously. The racquets ruined the game. I tuned out after Sampras Ivanisovich at Wimbledon. That wasn't tennis.

I agree. I used to think it was Fed, and he is still my favorite, but I think Djokovic has surpassed him. Most weeks at #1, and will probably finish with the most majors.

Nadal is obviously greatest ever on clay.

Borg is also interesting, great player but he retired so young it is hard to compare.

On the women's side I think it is Steffi Graf. Most weeks at #1. Golden slam. Won every major at least four times.

Evert and Serena have arguments.

Must disagree.

Borg was unbeatable on clay although Connors beat him on clay at U.S. Open.

How many more French's do you want him to win? He probably wins French two to three more times if he doesn't retire. Who was going to beat him? Mac? Nope. Lendl? Nope. Noah or Leconte? nope.

His record at Wimbledon was similar. That was when grass was faster than it is now.

Borg's weakness was hardcourt at US Open but damn, he still made four finals and lost to only Connors and Mac. Some weakness.

Borg's record on clay and grass makes him the A.J. Foyt of tennis and none of the current guys can say that.

Give those guys the modern racquets and training and they probably still win the same.
