Steelers fans are as passionate as any in sports, but they aren't nearly as annoying as Cowboys fans. They have a history that at least equal to Dallas and none of their monumental arrogance as a fanbase.

I think the #1 and #2 douchebags in the NFL are Tomo and T.O. So when they were both in Dallas I hated them b/c it was toolbag city. I think Romo is a little bitch and if he ever ended up playing for New Orleans I would turn in my fan card immediately. My hatred isn't so much for the Cowboys as it is for that overhyped douchebag Romo.

I can understand somebody having a ton of hatred for TO. Or even the Cowboys in general.
But I honestly don't get the hate like this on Romo. When has he been a bitch. Was a late round draft pick and has come up and been a top 10 qb. Nobody says he's the best. Or that he's clutch. But he's decent.
He banged Carrie underwood and Jessica simpson. And he's a douchebag....... What does that make you?

Were you on this site a few years ago, when the Cowboys were 13-3 and we had a multitude of threads from various Cowtards about how Tony Romo was the greatest QB in the NFL by far?

i think the intense cowboy hatred must be a southern thing because of all the boys fans in LA etc

The thing I don't like about Tony Romo is that he reminds me of Aaron Brooks. He will make an amazing play one down and then the next make the shittiest play ever. The worst part is that, like Aaron Brooks when he was with the Saints, when he makes a shitty play Romo will be smiling on the sideline like he just doesn't really give a shite.

The great ones like Manning, Brady, Warner, Brees, and Roethlisberger all are genuinely pissed off when they fumble or throw a pick.

IMO, there are several reasons for this.

1. The Steelers are viewed as a blue-collar team.

2. The Steelers are on only their 3rd head coach in the last 30+ years.

3. The Steelers have not historically had the problems with players like the Cowboys have i.e. TO, Nate Newton, Michael Irvin etc.

4. The Steelers don't have that glitzy reputation like the Cowboys with a meddling owner/oil baron like Jerry Jones, the world famous Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders etc.

This is a fair assessment, imo

Don't get me wrong I like looking at the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders but there is something to be said for the Steelers being one of the few teams that don't have any.

This is where we part ways. I can't think of a single positive thing about this

Statements like this are hilarious to me because they are so incredibly illogical. But for some reason, they have merit around here.

Let's ask a series of questions:

1) Did you have a choice in where you grew up or, for that matter, where you were born?

2) Do you like the local team because they're the LOCAL team or because you like the TEAM.

I've grown up in Louisiana but have never been a Saints fan (although I would like to see them win it this year), and I've HATED the cowboys all my life. Mainly because my dad tried to get me to like them so much. But to be a fan of a team simply because it's in your state or because it's only a few hours away is beyond stupid.

i guess not but you also cant go off what a ton of msb rantards say either. i think its pretty obvious Romo isnt on Manning/Brady status. He's good imo, but not that good.

my thing is romo shouldnt have the opportunity to make that many mistakes. the cowboys should no doubt be a run first team. i cant think of a better backfield in all of the nfl. so i chalk quite a bit of it up to coaching. if they only let romo throw 20-25 times a game, the team would be much better off. but no, jason garrett has to reinvent the the wheel every single game.
but to be honest, ive never seen romo smiling after a pick. ive seen him SULK quite a bit. and he tries to pump his team up and to shake it off. but ive never seen him smile after throwing a pick.

that is what they were supposed to be recommitting to this season and in fact they did get better at running the ball, but Garrett just cannot help himself from calling unnessesary pass plays. Especially against the Vikings who you were running successfuly against and could not block them on pass plays.

Having lived in Steeler country for 11 years, they do have a monumental arrogant fan base

Exactly. That's where the "proximity" part of my argument kicks in. I bet if you went to seattle you'd see a lot of 49er fans too...

What? Where the hell do you live? The further north you go the more annoying the NFL fans get, because college football is basically non-existant north of Virginia.
