I always thought it was stupid to wait until they landed. You end up with a bunch of wasted time in a timed round but I'm now realizing it's impossible for the camera to keep up when they're going rapid fire.

ESPN has completely overdone it with the statcast shite. Who gives a shite about launch angle and exit velo in a HR derby. Show me where the ball lands and how far it was hit.

It's so bad to watch this way they have basically ruined the Derby with letting them swing before the ball lands.

Everyone bitches about the Hr derby the first page or two then their inner kid takes over and they usually gush about it by the time it’s over. Pretty standard on the MSB the last decade.
