My ultimate wish for the Hornets is that they get some good luck in the draft lottery, so that way they be in good position to draft Greg Monroe.

highly unlikely as they will only be picking at 11, 1,2 or 3. But I'm hoping Monroe falls to us as well

Would be a terrible pick

My wishlist(of those who could be there):

1)Xavier Henry
2)Paul George
3)Gordon Hayward

I'm sorry ? To which player are you referring to ? Orton ?

Henry intrigues in the Potential factor.

George I love the way he plays, but it's a very small sample size ( YouTube highlights and there's really not much on there).

As for Gordon, I'm hoping Larry legend picks him at ten so our FO will not be intrigued enough to pick him. Something about white Americans and the NBA that just don't go together

Yeah Orton. He has Hilton Armstrong tattoed on his forehead

I think Hayward is a solid pick at 11.

He scores, rebounds well, and he's an intelligent player.

He does at the college level...

Does that translate to the Association ?

Actually I'm not to worried about him on the offensive side..it's guarding the SFs in this league

Peja's the alternative

His intelligence should really help him out defensively IMO. Some of the most solid defenders in the lague aren't all that athletic.

ETA: And Peja and Mo Pete are currently guarding the other team's 3 right now.

I think Peja will either be moved or be coming off the bench.

A guy like Travis Outlaw could provide a good combination with Peja as his backup

That's true, and that is one of our primary needs. If no one falls to us, I would just rather them take a guy that looks like he'll be solid but unspectacular. Reaching at 11 is pointless, get someone who can contribute and provide a marginal benefit. Hayward looks like he could be a solid but unspectacular energy bench guy.

see that just bums me out. I'd rather roll the dice on a guy like Whiteside.

I just dont want anything to do with Orton, Udoh, or Whiteside. These players that go mid 1st round due to measurables, with absolutely no offensive game, literally never work out.

Isn't travis Outlaw locked up for a while? Don't think he'll be coming down here any time soon.

I agree on Udoh and Orton, Whiteside on the other hand has actually a very decent jumpshot. He looks like he has the shooting stroke to be a very good 18 foot jump shooter

pretty sure he's a RFA unless he recently signed a deal. Doubt it though considering LAC is going to throw everything they got at a SF that can come in and be a STAR out in LA

I don't know enough about him to comment. I don't want to watch some guy develop on the bench for two years. THAT bums ME out. I'd rather them get someone like the Rockets did with Budinger. Solid college player that fell because he lacked the super-duper athleticism/ceiling of other guys, but who contributed a lot in his rookie year.

ETA: You're also underestimating the fandom the token hustly white guy creates. Ryan Bowen pain train FTW.

Buddinger actually is tremendously athletic.

We are in no position to compete right now. We are at best when fully healthy a 7-8 seed and potential non playoff team. Going with a BOOM or BUST seems more appropriate to me than a "safe" pick. But of course it's just everyones preference of whom they'd like.
