Wilt Chamberlain was the real GOAT NBA player.

He was past prime, but absolutely schooled Jabbar in the Western Conference finals in '72.

Exactly.

The fact that Chris Broussard has Wilt over Kobe in his Top 10 just puts an anger in me that I cannot describe.

If you hate Kobe, just say you hate Kobe.

same with Russell's championships... It was a 10 team league most of his run

Wilt played against several other 7 footers and 6'10"+ centers, and in a league with so few teams, that means almost every night. He was a fricking monster, better athletically than everyone else in the league by a mile. That's why his stats are so insane.

The only reason I can think of to discredit Bill Russell's 11 championships is when someone is an MJ fanboy and they lean so hard on the 6 rings argument and can't come up with a good reason why that doesn't make Russell better than him.

Wilt wouldn't be able to dominate this current era" What would it be like if a prime 7'1'' 300-pounder with a 55" vertical and a 500 bench press came into the league now?

If Wilt had a 55 inch vertical then I have a 25 inch dick.

He may have a 30 inch vertical.... that's about it... Wilt was a great athlete for being 7'1 at the time... Kareem was not close or was Russell to being the athlete Wilt was...

He averaged 28 points and 28 rebounds against that renowned defensive genius Bill Russell.

I understand this... That is not the issue... Wilt was so much more dominant against everyone else its almost stupid............ He was A 7 foot 1 inch ATHLETE that just towered over everybody.. I am surprised that in 1962 he didn't get 100 points more than once............

Meh in his Warriors seasons maybe but when he played for the 76ers and Lakers the position was stacked with HOFers

Impressive feats you can't take away from him is that he never fouled out of a game in his entire career...

and he's the only center to ever lead the league in assists!
