I love how he says that the Pistons went from old to young by picking up Rasheed and Ratliff.
I think Ratliff led the league in blocked shots in 1999.

a hypothetical situation in which one poster posts something that is not even close to being true tells you all you need to know?

Ratliff averaged 10 mpg
so the reason the pistons were different from the year that cavs beat them is because they were carried by a guy that averaged 7 mpg, a guy that averaged 10 mpg, and they traded for a player that was already on their roster.

I don't see why people in this thread even try to argue with theunknownnight

Average age of 2007 Pistons - 28.92
Average age of 2008 Pistons - 26.3
Point differential in 2007 - 4.2
Point differential in 2008 - 7.4
Their bench was younger.

The talent levels were similar. People forget how bad the cleveland teams were outside of lebron. The west is much tougher than the east ill give you that

So could Lebron carry a team with much less talent than he has now over a 60+ win team?
He couldn't beat 55+ win teams the last two seasons with much more talent. This year was inexcusable as the dude gave up on his team,

If LeBron played with Allen, Garnett, Rondo and Perkins, do you think he'd make the Finals?

Prove that he can and I'll concede.

I could play with them and make the finals. I'd just sit on the bench and watch.

A supporting cast of Gasol, Bynum, Odom and Artest isn't much worse.

Can no one show me a time where Lebron took a team with zero current starters and beat a 60+ win team? It stands to reason that if Lebron was BETTER at carrying a team, he could have gotten past that Phoenix team in 2007 with the same team Kobe had, since Kobe took them to game 7.
Any evidence of this? Anyone?

During the regular season sure...not when it counts though
just a quick question here.
After Shaq left and before Gasol and Bynum came along, why wasn't Kobe unable to do anything when it counted? And even in the regular season as well?

He beat the Detroit Pistons, who lost to the Celtics the next year in 6 games, who also beat the Lakers in 6 games. Your arguments are weak.

Forget that Lebron had 4 other All Stars / Former All Stars on his team and Kobe only has 2 other All Stars / Former All Stars
