What the frick?

Again, name 5 QB's you'd take over Cutler today.

You can't do it. Anybody who says Tom Brady is just ridiculous. Why not Peyton Manning? Why not Brett Favre? They're all on the downside of their careers. Cutler is just entering his prime.

Personally I'd take Cutler over anybody save for Matt Ryan and possibly Drew Brees. He'd beat out Cassel and Rivers and Eli and Big Ben.

So the fact that Tom Brady has 3 super bowl rings doesnt mean he is a top 5 quarterback?

Cutler today.

I would take Peyton Manning over Jay Cutler....today.

Which is it?...over the second half of their careers? or.....today?

We're using your own criteria here...

Jesus Christ. Half of these guys have fewer than 5 years left in the NFL.

Rodgers, Rivers, Ryan, and Cassel at least meet the age requirements. I disgree that they are better than Cutler though (save for Ryan).

Edit to add: By saying "who would you take TODAY" you're obviously inheriting the remainder of their careers. You wouldn't take Peyton Manning over Jay Cutler because you're getting 4 years instead of 10 (and $15 million a year instead of $5).

...this doesn't matter because you qualified it with 'today', which means 'at their present ability'.

Jay Cutler has type II diabetes...how do we know that in 5 years he's going to have only one leg?.....

What? So because I said "who would you take today" that means that every NFL QB is automatically aged 25 and has 10 good years left? That's ridiculous.

Umm, because it's two-thousand and fricking NINE. He's more likely to catch polio for Christ sakes.

5 better than Cutler? Simple:

Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Big Ben, Drew Brees, Warner

I dont think any of those are arguable. If it was just for one year, he isnt a clear cut over McNabb, Hasselback, Palmer, etc. If you are talking about drafting a guy for the next 10 years, he would be in the argument with Rivers, Eli, Ryan, Romo, Flacco, etc replacing Warner.

I pull for him, but he isnt elite yet.

Hell yeah I would, Warner's release and decision making is light years ahead of Cutler......

And what rationale are you speaking of, you asked me to make a list and I did?
