from like 42 in college though. let's not act like he was some ace shooter with a great % who is suffering

I think they could keep it around a 20 point game if they played well.
and i said maybe 15

I would pay big money to see this matchup
Posted on 3/25/12 at 10:25 pm to SlowFlowPro
Maybe 15 in the first half

It is kind of amazing that DeSagana Diop has managed a 12-year NBA career averaging 2.1 pts and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Would you believe he's the third highest paid bobcat with those numbers?

Kentucky has better players. #fact
Whoever the people saying Bocats by 30, I will set the spread there if they play and drive to your house to take your money. You just give me directions.
Anthony Davis >>>>>> Bismack Biyombo
Terrence Jones >>>>> Tyrus Thomas
MKG >>>> Corey Maggette
Gerald Henderson vs. Doron Lamb is a wash
And Charlotte has the better point guard.
Charlotte has them at one position. One position.
If this is a 40 minute game, college-rules game, Kentucky wins a 7-game series.
Why?
They have better players!

I've already pointed out that a bunch of these players were as good, if not better, in college than anyone on Kentucky not named Anthony Davis and maybe MKG.
And Terrence Jones. And definitely MKG.

UK has the advantage in the front court. UK could keep it close if they played well.
10 times at Rupp and UK would win a couple
Or maybe Charlotte could win a couple.

Under the BEST case scenario, they keep it around 20. They lose 100 times out of 100.
You know nothing about basketball.
A 15 seed doesn't beat a 2 seed even 50 times out of 50.

Kentucky Wildcats Projected Draft Position (per espn.com)
Anthony Davis: 1
MKG: 2
Terrence Jones: 12
The rest of UK's guys are either late first rounders (Teague, Lamb) or possible second rounders (Miller).
Basically, UK's frontcourt is better and I don't see how this is even debateable. The bobcats have the advantage at the 1 and 2.
I think this is a pretty good matchup.

The Wildcats have a very good starting 5. But this is not a video game. The starting 5 would get worn down very quickly. Their 6th man is a solid D-leaguer and their 7th men is a fairly unimpressive freshman who may one day play a few games in the NBA. Beyond that, no one will earn a cent playing basketball unless Eloy Vargas plays semi-pro ball in the Dominican league.
That is not the outline of a team that can keep it within 30 even against a bad NBA team.
UConn in 2004, Duke in 1999, and UNC in 2009 would all stand a better chance at winning say 2 out of 100 games against the current Bobcats since they at least had some depth.

That's a bunch of nonsense, DJ White averaged 17 and 10 four years ago in college. Now he gets to practice and workout more and has access to better coaches, put him in college and he's the best big man in the country. And he's like the 7th best player on the team, the matchups are much more lopsided than you're saying.

DJ White is better than Anthony Davis?
I want some of this guy's drugs.

Depth doesn't mean shite in a 40 minute game.

It's a 48 minute game, with NBA rules.

UNLV in '90 and '91. Duke in '99. And UK in '96 are all in the conversation. And, of course, UNC '82 who beats a shitload of pro teams.
This UK team is better than the UNC 2009 team.

Well that's not the hypothetical we all have been commenting on.
Obviously Kentucky would have a lot better chance playing college rules. Just get hot from three and they could have a shot to keep it close. It's what college basketball is turning into nowadays with the teams like VCU and Ohio making runs.
Kentucky has NBA talent. They might as well play NBA rules.

It's just a hypothetical, so we can comment on both, yes?
