I guess you weren't watching the same game I was. Pitching got us out of every jam, not defense. One of those jams was even started off by a field error on Pinero.
I'm just saying, I think it's funny that you're completely discrediting our pitching staff. 8th shutout of the year and first time Tulane been shutout all season.

If Tulane can win tomorrow and take 2/3 from Houston on the road, that would get their RPI into the low to mid 70s, probably.
Slowly creeping up to where they need to be. This loss sucks, but it's not a crushing one or anything. ULL is pretty decent.

We already shutout McNeese this year and I guarantee you in a 3 game series, they wouldn't be able to even hold our jock strap. But keep dreaming bub.
Lmao! This dumb frick can't even remember the score of the game. It wasn't a shutout, moron.
And by that logic, you dumb fricks lost to Nicholls. Guess ya'll can't hold their jock strap either. And got donkey stomped by SELU. No jock straps to hold there either, I assume?
Even in a mediocre year, you stooges still think you're the cream of the crop.
Leave it to the cajuns to derail a good thread. Always gotta turn it into a pissing match.

Bruh. Trolling plays sometimes.
Glad you noticed.
I actually like McNeese. Just fuggin with y'all. I hate Tech though. Douchebags up north think they know baseball.

Yea. Pretty decent.
RPI around 60 and projected outside of the field, as of last week.
Both of the teams on the field tonight are pretty decent. They've done nothing to prove more or less really , as of now.

Good to have Massey back

What I notice is how few Ruston folks have been posting while Ruston was losing. Except when the Cajuns lose too.
And 'intelligent' discussion tonight.........like when you started things off by calling us 'Lafayette'?
Yeah. Because you are the fair, innocent and unbiased one alright.
An obeservation.

........('Ruston') has their RPI back in the high-40s and this is one of the only NCAA-Tournament teams left on the schedule. The only other one could be Lafayette but their RPI is not great right now either.

Isn't the school the "University of Louisiana at LAFAYETTE"? Did they move it to Youngsville and change the name to @ Youngsville?
Hell, at least he didn't call ya'll LOL or something.

McNeese is a much better team then ULL.
Much better is ignorant. I haven't seen enough of McNeese but ULL is pretty damn hard to beat in a series. They have yet to lose a weekend series, and that streak dates back to last season. Especially now that Colten Schmidt is actually pitching, they have one of the better pitching staffs in college baseball. Tied for the first in the nation in shutouts. They will be a dangerous team in any regional just based off their rotation and pitching depth. No 1 seed will want them as a 4 seed in their regional and have to face Leger game 1. Their problem has been dropping the midweek games. A weekend series is a totally different ballgame.
Glancing at McNeese's schedule you can see the wins over LSU and Tech are the feathers in their cap, but the rest of their schedule is nothing special. I give them credit though, they are winning the games they are supposed to win and that's all you can ask of them. I wouldn't consider them "much better", even better is subjective.

Don't listen to latech fans. This is only their 2nd year as baseball fans. They finally able to get more than 50 people to their games.

Our RPI doesn't really tell the full story though. It's being completely massacred by 3 games versus a winless St. Peter's squad. I read where if those games had been rained out, our RPI would be closer to 40-50.
We have a good pitching and defensive squad that can sometimes get hot at the plate. I do know that our team is built for a tournament style. I don't know how much they'll stretch out Schmidt but if he can eventually start (like it was projected before his injury), not many teams could match up against the starting pitching we have. Leger, Lee, Harris, Burk, Schmidt, Guillory if needed.
Tony does need to work on his bullpen though. Marks is a monster but Moore has been walking too many people, Huval is good but he's dealing with inflammation now. Might be wise to keep Schmidt in the pen.

The amount of butthurt that these ULL guys have towards Tech guys is hilarious. They just can't stand that their status as the #2 team in the state has been challenged these past few years.
Add the other instate teams having solid seasons such as McNeese, Southeastern, and Tulane... and they start getting just downright sad. It is ok ULL fans, more than two teams are allowed to succeed without it directly effecting your program.

Something you can't say about ULL.
Say what you want about the St. Peter's series. The more important question is why was that crap on the schedule to begin with?
ULL shot themselves in the foot with that one.
And the pitching may be good, but the hitting and run scoring are suspect. ULL has lost 7 games when scoring 3 runs or less. They have won 8 in the same vein. 8-7 when scoring 3 runs or less. Not very good.
And that "fantastic" pitching...they are 1-11-1 when giving up at least 5 runs. With the exception of Gunner Leger, the pitching is suspect. Nick Lee has a 5.36 ERA.
Not sure that anyone would be super scared of that team right now.

What's to laugh about? That's all I hear on the radio...it's easy to say McNeese is nothing special, but coming from a guy (not you) that in the same breath claims "no 1 seed wants to see ULL and Leger" just makes it laughable. The run support for that kid has been horrible against good teams. I doubt a 1 seed would be too worried.
