I think that if Lamar Odom were on a team that didn't already have a superstar to get behind, that he would be considered one of the best.

naw he can't be "the man"

he excels as a 4th-6th option, but wilts under the bright lights

*ETA: on the cavs, he'd be perfect

I'm not trying to say anyone is wrong, but I'm not so sure about Dwight Howard. I think he is just benefiting from a center-less eastern conference. After all, he got dominated by Yao two times this year.

his numbers for the playoffs are insane.

34/10/7 on 55% shooting. he's actually shooting 61% against the hawks and his playoff PER is 44.8

Some people just refuse to open their eyes. Most of us have realized that Lebron's the best payer in the world for some time now. But if you can't see that now, there's probably not much hope for you, and you're on your way to missing the career of what might be the greatest athlete of all time.

Let's see if he can a ring this year, I don't see it happening. There's a reason why nba GMs still favor Kobe at almost a 2 to 1 rate.

Let's see a GM poll taken right now and see what they say.

This is such a bullshite "poll." They may say that out of respect for what Kobe's already accomplished, but if it actually came down to it, every last one of them would take Lebron. Every single fricking one.

is late february good enough? 12 voted kobe, 7 voted lebron. i doubt you would see much change in the votes if any. GMs know what both guys bring to the table.

Who's going to stop the Cavs in your opinion?

the question asked was "who is the best player in the NBA", it's only bullshite because the answers weren't what you wanted to see.
