it makes no sense to compare their careers until his career is actually over

not sure why everyone is so quick to build or tear down his "legacy"

You guys can't deny how passive that man was tonight. It was so similar to last year's game 5 against the Celtics. It would bother the shite out of me if I were a Heat fan. He looked like he truly didn't give a shite.

Now you're just ignoring all the actual points(see not just insults hurled around) I made.

Good times.

If he actually starts claiming the "elbow flare up" and you defend that then you are more delusional then I originally thought.

He starts claiming an elbow problem, then he better have offseason tommy john surgery or the haters will really be going wild.

What are you talking about man?

No, he he starts claiming his elbow, HE IS DONE!!! That's what you're saying. I NEVER said I was defending anything.

Just laughing at the kneejerk, absolute statements being thrown around tonight. That is all.

Uh....it's game 4...

It ain't all on the line until the Mavs actually have it 3-2..

So Lebron could bag one more game before you can say, all on the line..

I really thought Wade and lebron would turn it up in the 4th, but they didn't..maybe they were gassed?

I didn't mean to really suggest you defended this particular performance, but you seem unwilling to concede that since the end of the Boston series last year, the questions of his mental toughness are at least fair. Not indicting and convicting him yet, just questioning.

By the way, he's still the best player in the world, but he's judged by a higher standard, a historical one. And very few people swung from his nuts more than me the last few years, but I have genuinely been turned off some of his shennanigans the last year. And that too, I think is fair

The crew in this thread will just gloss right over this comment and tell you you're embarrassing yourself and losing credibility for defending his 8 point game.

WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING IT!!!

Pretty sure I just spent the past 7 pages arguing with you shel. The best player in the game DOESN'T score 8 points in a Finals game. Oh and he also had more turnovers than field goals made. I think you're confusing "most talent" with " best player." I'm not arguign the guy is talented as shite, but he isn't the best player in the game.

MJ went 5 of 19 in game 6 in 96. He did get 22 though after free throws.

Even the greatest had an atrocious finals shooting night.

You feel the need to defend him when he unbiasedly played an atrocious game. Why do you care if people flame him, especially when he played one of the worst Finals games ever.

i'm good about coming back after he plays poorly

they will just sit there and call me a nuthugger anyway

i'm actually surprised they aren't worse tonight; typically he receives this type of criticism after he plays well

No one was even talking about that. That's a completely separate argument that hasn't even come up in this thread lol.

Guys were going off the rail saying how it's crazy to think he's the best in the game, and one guy was saying Dirk is a better player.

That's my only argument. So, i fail to see how I'm losing credibility by not jumping on the Dirk is the best in the game bandwagon, or even the Dwade one.

I was being sarcastic about the elbow injury. Just reinforces that he quits on his teammates.

James took 11 shots.

He wasn't even trying to score at times. His mindset was terrible.

Jordan had plenty of bad nights in the playoffs, but every single night he was playing with the exact same intensity, focus, and approach.
