Yeah, if Conrad goes in the draft, he'll be one of the favorites to take over at 2nd base next season.
kid is a freak...packs a lot of power for his size too

That's a helluva pick up for the Cajuns.

Yeah, I like that he's a quarterback too. Athletic and smart. I think he's going to fit in really well with Blake Trahan if that ends up being the case.

He's the next Ross Wilson. Except for the hair, probably. I don't know what Fontenot looks like, but I doubt his hair is that good.

Nope, got released and signed with the Cajuns last week.
what's the story behind that? Win win for Kennon and ULL though.

I don't know if there was a reason he needed to stay closer to home or if our success just made us a more viable option than when he originally went with Okie St. but I'll take it either way.

Huge pick up for the Cajuns. He's an incredible athlete and competitor!

Kale Breaux also going to ULL.
link? Would be another huge pick up if true.

Kennon Fontenot and Gunner Leger gonna dominate for the Cajuns
Not if they have to play team West.

Kale Breaux has not committed to ULL.

I don't know if Kale Breaux is has officially committed since he's just a junior (I think). I have heard rumors that we might be getting him though.

was Kale hurt this past weekend vs. Barbe?
He left the game in the 4th or 5th inning with some forearm tightness but don't think it is anything serious. We were down 6-0 at the time if I remember correctly. Barbe is definitely a machine and the bottom of their order, which would be top of the order guys at most high schools, is really heating up. Even though they had already beaten us twice their coaching staff made even more adjustments for the playoffs and they really look stronger in the playoffs.
And to answer another poster Kennon needed to stay closer to home and is a great pickup for ULL. My son is pretty good friend's with him and he is really excited about signing with the Cajuns. I've been watching him a long time and he is a special player and a great young man off the field.

He has pulled his commitment from LSU, and ive talked to coaches in that district that have said ULL is most likely his destination

That is far from a done deal. They are one of several colleges he is currently considering. Very good friends with the dad and my son plays on the high school team with him. I think they would definitely be a very good landing spot for him but also some other very good options out there for him.

So what's the report on Livonia? Who is the ace and what does he bring to the mound? Heard that's who they are throwing today.

It's still real early. I would suspect that he would gauge the interest of other SEC schools, especially in the West.

I hope that cooler heads prevail and they give LSU more consideration. Kale will be successful no matter where he goes, and he won't need LSU to get to MLB if that's where he's destined. On the other hand, LSU is the rare school in the country where you can be a hero and idolized thoughout the whole state for your baseball achievements. Something to think about in my opinion.

They were willing to give LSU more consideration and LSU slammed that door. I became very enlightened with how LSU baseball recruits La kids after speaking with Kale's dad and another dad of a SW La kid they are recruiting. It isn't much different than what I was told from a former signee that decided to play pro baseball instead of attending LSU. I'm a fan of LSU baseball but the current staff could all go and it wouldn't bother me one bit. I don't blame these kids one bit when they decide to go pro or attend another instate or an out of state school.
