Newman might not get by Dunham tonight. They're a bit overseeded.

Newman won by 20. And it wasn't even that close.

During warmups, it looked like it should have been a good game. But after the tip, it was a different story. Newman completely dominated Dunham.

Thought it would be closer. I had seen both teams play.

And Pickering needs OT to beat the 29 seed.

Is Coach Todd doing alright over there at Newman?

The path is carved for abbeville to make it to the top 28. Beat Independence by 20 last night and loyola upset port Allen, making abbeville travel next round which puts them at home for certain in the quarters. Going to be a great game between them and Madison if it pans out.

On a side note...looked to me like the Independence coach had little control over his players at some points last night. They fell apart whenever they got behind over 10.

This is probably Newman's best team in 6-7 years. Very effective when making shots, especially when they are running 3-4 guys off the bench too. For a Newman team, they have 3-4 very good athletes that can play with just about anyone. If Beckham recovers from his high ankle sprain, they are going to be a tough out for STA.

Kemper has done a very good job. Good coach. Players seem to like him.

some do some don't. At first it was apparently bad, but the kids got over it and then they started winning this year and it didn't matter.
