I’ve seen Acadiana once.
They’re known for their hitting but they threw well yesterday.
The shortstop, catcher and CF are all good players.
CF (Montz) didn’t pitch for three weeks and then he did a nice job in relief the next time he got the ball.

He was out. Also the St Amant playoff magic continues on! Didn’t think we had a chance at upsetting Lafayette but St Amant gets it done on the road once again! True Road Warriors! Destrehan is next!

The number two hitter in your lineup got some rips yesterday.

He had a spectacular day at the plate yesterday

Who you guys have for pitching after Webb?
Posted on 4/24/19 at 11:40 am to Cuz413
A right hander by the name of Aaron Delaune. I haven’t really seen much of him this year but he’s had some good games. When he’s on, he’s on.
They had this really tall right hander that can throw 86-92, that was injured all year long, but finally came back a few weeks ago. He quit after the last regular season game against EA. Not sure what his name is but I’m sure Coach Templet is really wishing they had him for these best of 3 series.
If they would have had him, Webb, and Delaune as your 3 starters, I’d say we’d easily beat Destrehan. Now they’re going to need Delaune to pitch his best game on Friday, so that they can have the pitching advantage for the rest of the series, at least I believe Delaune will pitch game 1 since Webb threw yesterday.
I honestly didn’t think we’d have a chance against Lafayette. Worst St. Amant team in a few years but once again Coach Templet gets these players ready to play in the postseason and they upset another team on the road in the first round.

Who started that game for STA?

Couldn’t tell you. Wasn’t able to go to that game. Don’t think it was the one who quit though

STA Coach is post season genius. Better hang on to him forever!

Should have held on to the coach that won four 5A State Titles. How many have they won since they ran him off?

I don't believe it was him either. From what I've heard this year, STA doesn't have much depth in pitching.
Destrehan SS is pretty good on the mound. After him the other kid that played SS has looked good as well.

You’d think that’s what everyone thinks in this community but the boosters and parents want him gone. It’s ridiculous how much these people hate him even though he wins and makes deep postseason runs every year

I thought I heard rumors that this "genius" was about to retire.

And the same people that ran him off are about to run off our current head coach. Boosters and parents are ridiculous in this area.

I'm sure those boosters/parents have someone in mind they want in that spot. Any rumors there?

Couldn’t tell ya. And also “retiring” is a funny word. Boosters and parents have a lot of power
Posted on 4/24/19 at 1:15 pm to Cuz413
They don’t have much depth. Starters are decent but haven’t been consistent. After they pull a starter they kind of have to just grind it out with their relievers. That’s just how things are done there. They just grind it out and win games in the postseason

Well, what I was told was he was eligible for retirement and he was fed up with the "pressure" from those people.
