Bout to head that way to watch Ruston… do women still have to bring clear bags like for Saints games? My mom has a big arse purse.
Straight from the LHSAA website:
quote:
SUPERDOME CLEAR BAG POLICY AND PROHIBITED ITEMS:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12." (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags are available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com)
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags, 6.5" x 4.5", with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Dumb question..but what's up with the lack of diversity on both STM and Teurlings? I know both of them give tuition wavers for athletes.

any clue when the next game will start? not sure if they do 30 minutes after the previous game ends or something like that.

1. You’re right. Dumb question
2. Who fricking cares
Most of the programs in the state are majority black. Is that not good enough for you?

All the diverse kids go to LCA

I turned the game off. Said no way stm could come back. Holy crap.
LCA snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

I see teams that are usually pretty good, John Ehret, East Ascension, Hahnville, and Terrebonne, on their schedule, but don't know how good those teams were this season.
Hahnville hasn't been "Hahnville" since 2017 when Pooka Williams graduated. Even then, the team wasn't that good....Pooka was. Last 3 years since Coach Salt left have been piss poor by their standards.
Terrebonne should never be on a list of "usually pretty good" teams. They had a season or 2 with a couple of stud recruits. Other than that, they've been a mediocre program AT BEST for decades.
That being said, Destrehan is still a great team. ESJ had a shot to beat in the playoffs and blew it. Westgate's defense last week was phenomenal, in the backfield on almost every play. But their offense couldn't do anything against the Destrehan D. Ultimately, Destrehan made a couple more plays than Westgate....which is was good teams do.

I'd disagree with that. They have some great seasons, record-wise, just weren't able to put it all together under Valdin after that 2003 season. Salt had a bit of success but couldn't get over that Zachary hump, losing to them the next 2 years in the playoffs after losing to them in the Dome in 2017.

I mean, they're obviously two of the top football schools in the state. Why wouldn't kids want to go there? Am I wrong about tuition? Is it the catholic background? Higher standards, etc?

STM doesn’t. That would be LCA.

Thanks. I thought they waivered tuition for select athletes. That would deter families from sending their kids there.

I can't stand the way LCA does things - they are the definition of grey area - and I'm still sick for them losing like that.
That was an epic spike on the last TD by the stm kid though!

LCA def waives tuition but their tuition is already so low they arent waiving much....Teurlings doesnt waive as much but they do to some extent, however, their tuition isnt as high as STM....STM, from my sources doesnt waive any tutions.....they may give discounts or scholarships but most private schools do that

Yes, to all of those. I know of a few examples where the kids played ball but couldn’t get passing grades, ending up transferring elsewhere
