I remember reading a story of a guy who went fishing with his son and he "fell" in with no life jacket. Police searched the waters but couldn't find him.
20 years later he calls his home because he missed his wife and kid. He was living in Mexico. Promptly got arrested. Dude was scott free and ruined it.

My wife's grandparents changed their own religiously at the 1500 mark. He swore it makes vehicles last longer.
I tried changing the oil on my older Ford Expedition this past weekend. Took me over an hour because the oil filter felt like it was glued on there. I had to run a screwdriver in it just to break it free. Then the oil drain plug was stripped so had to buy a new one. I'll gladly pay someone to bypass the hassle.

Went to boot camp Jan 1998. Then off to Germany during the summer.
Mine went up $400. I consider that a win. Two years ago it went from $1,300 to $3,800. No claims

The wire for my oven baking element burned so I called a local repairman to change it out. I had bought a new element but wasn't comfortable changing the wire. He came put, took him 10 minutes and didn't charge me a dime.

My mom is retired and would have watched my kids when they were little but she lives an hour from me. My in laws want to see my kids and will watch them for an hour during the day but constantly blowing up our phones to see when we are picking them up.
I'll be retired at 58. If I have grandkids, you better believe I'm watching them free of charge.

My wife doesn't like flowers but she loves being the center of attention at her work so we have a rule that if Valentine's falls on a weekend, I don't need to buy her anything. :lol:

Flying home from Germany while in the Air Force. Stuck in Baltimore for 18 hours. I was only 19 so I couldn't rent a car. I could have driven home faster.

There was a guy locally that shot two guys that were ringing his doorbell at 2am. One was armed with an AK-47 and the other took off running after his buddy got shot. The homeowner put a few bullets into the guy running and he was able to speed off, but they both ended up dying.
No charges for shooting the one with the AK, but he had to go to court over the one that was fleeing and wasn't armed. Not sure what came of it.
