My brother in law has a Master's in Art History. You know what he does now? He's a nurse. Had to go back to school because he couldn't find a job in his field of study.
re: Weird dreams you've had

My dad passed away back in July. I've been having dreams about my great-grandfather that my dad was real close to. He passed away before I was born so I never got to meet him.

I don’t think they exist
My wife worked for one years ago. I'm 6'2 and she was taller than me and her hands were huge so maybe it was a man after all.

The lack of inventory makes it look like people want them, but they have been pulled from the stores.
Which ones were pulled? I was actually able to get a 4K Plus yesterday.

Be careful with FamilySearch. It's a useful tool, but it's community-researched data, so there are a LOT of errors.
I've noticed that on a few entries but I try to fact check as best as I can and compare other websites.

I've had success with LINK I've traced my dad's side back to the 1600's

I have always referred to my cousins children as second cousins
If you have kids, your kids and your 1st cousins kids are second cousins.
quote:
Adding to the other info, a 1st cousin once removed is your parent’s first cousin. That person’s kids are usually your 2nd cousin
On the flip side, your 1st cousins child is your 1st cousin once removed as well.

I've never understood the 2nd and 3rd cousin thing. Can someone break down the exact definition?
I am interested in genealogy so I know this pretty well. Your 2nd cousin and you share a great grandparent, meaning one of your grandparents and their grandparent are siblings, in turn your parent and their parent are 1st cousins.
3rd cousin means you share a great great grandparent. Your great grandparent and theirs are siblings, in turn your grandparent and theirs are 1st cousins, your parent and theirs are 2nd cousins.
So on and so forth.

Cannot marry 1st cousin anymore. Now, 2nd?
If I were single, I don't think I could even date anyone that was 3rd cousin of mine. That means her great grandparent and my great grandparent were siblings. I guess if you didn't know or never met your great grandparents it wouldn't feel weird but I knew mine.
I legit dated a girl who got an online degree from Kaplan University because she literally thought it was in Kaplan, Louisiana. Special.

re: Alone time. How much do you get and do you enjoy it?

The only alone time I get is when I'm at work. My wife swears she cannot do anything without me and I have a 3 year old stuck up my arse.

I remember reading a story of a guy who went fishing with his son and he "fell" in with no life jacket. Police searched the waters but couldn't find him.
20 years later he calls his home because he missed his wife and kid. He was living in Mexico. Promptly got arrested. Dude was scott free and ruined it.

That's good to know. I have an 11 Frontier with 125K. My mechanic said they could last to 400K with proper care and maintenance.

Even if it wasn't synthetic, 3K is still bullshite. There are probably people who follow that religiously just because they are told that it has to be changed after 3k, but you can go at least 5k before changing it..
My wife's grandparents changed their own religiously at the 1500 mark. He swore it makes vehicles last longer.
