This isn't like last year when Byrd, Carencro, Ouachita, Jesuit, St Paul and West Monroe were all really strong. Last year even had dangerous teams like Barbe and East St John. I really see nothing in 5a outside of a few teams.

we still have Jesuit-West Jeff and Rummel-Brother Martin today... both at Gormley

Louisianasportsline is predicting a St. Amant at Dutchtown matchup in the first round. STA couldn't have set that up better if they tried.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong... But would that make a Live Oak vs. CHS first round game?

Score for jesuit-west jeff?
Posted on 11/3/12 at 1:15 pm to TigersSEC2010

Live oak will play s. lafourche. Looks like central will play ponchatula. What other 5a games are today?

last year none of those teams stood out... Byrd had a weak schedule and Carencro was good except for their one hiccup... West Monroe wasn't on the radar until they only needed to beat Mandeville to go to the Dome
this year Rummel is just head and shoulders above everyone else

Who does is look like Catholic will play? Apparently I'm not reading it right.

If west jeff wins, catholic and central will jump Jesuit. Don't forget that. I wonder how far west jeff would jump

1:04 to go Jesuit ball... Jays trailing 24-17
into WJ territory now, the WJ 31
Gormley clock malfunctions...
Tanner Lee gets sacked, fumbles, WJ wins it 24-17

Might end up being a crazy finish like last year
Posted on 11/3/12 at 1:32 pm to Roberteaux
even the Jesuit announcers acknowledged that WJ might think "this is a Jesuit trick"
