Considering people have been skeptical about the success of a soccer league in America ever since it started, I'd say surpassing two major sports in terms of average attendance is solid evidence for soccer's legitimacy in this country.

How on Earth are you supposed to make an argument that any sport is "legit"? I know many people who have no interest in American football. I guess they don't think it's "legit."

How many games do they play in MLS? Do you honestly believe if the NBA went down to that many, they wouldn't EASILY surpass them?
